  • Purchased this setup to carry sailplanes larger than 2m aloft. Decided to use a gas engine as I don't have any more glow powered planes. Very pleased with performance so far. Made the test flights this morning with Art G.'s assistance. He took some video with my camera and I used my "CapCam" (FlyCamOne HD) for much of the video. All went well. No trouble carrying either my 2m Riser or Art's Bird of Time. He recovered the wing tips of the BOT for better visibility. It works!

Thanks! Its a great flyer and does a real good job with 2 & 3 meter sailplanes which is our preferred method of launch.

Katana Aerobatics And it works very well! I have electric powered LT-25 and LT-40 and both carry 2M sailplanes very well as well as tow sailplanes to altitude also. Much fun!

What is your overall opinion of the 15cc engine? Would you say that it is comparable to a .90 nitro?

I'm not very familiar with glow engines. Haven't had any for over 10 yrs. I felt this engine was a great match for this plane. It ran very well. I have a friend that put one his also. More than enough power.

Looks exactly like a tail-dragger version of The World Models "Super Frontier Senior"...

modelmaker56 Don't doubt it. It is really just a clone of a Senior Kadet. I have a buddy flying the newer SIG Senior Sport. That is a really nice plane. His is electric.

Very nice and well done. How long does the spark plug last before it needs changing?

I flew it for two years, 95 flights, and never had to change the plug.

What size prop do you use? I just purchased this engine for a 60 size stick.

Pete Richards Hi Pete, I used a MA 14x6 prop for the break-in period and a MA 14x8 after. Flew very well with both.
