@@venom_dave not a great first bike honestly. I no longer own that bike. I ride a ninja 650 now and I love it. It’s more comfortable has more options and will still do 130mph instead of 160mph that the zx6r could do. Yes it was fast and yes it was fun but starting out I highly recommend something alittle more forgiving lol the ninja 400 and Yamaha R3 are the best starter bikes in my opinion I have 3 friends who ride thos and keep up just fine they top out at around 105 mph and they are cheaper to buy.

Joe P a friend of mine died after he crashed with a 50cc atv just drivin down the street...a car came around the corner very close to him he panicked and crashed with his head into a piece of wall from my neighboors property....he died in seconds....i saw his brain through the brocken cranial vault...happened last year...and because i saw what can happen in even such a short distance ride that might be the reason i recommend at least a helmet...you don't need all gear down to your toe but at least a helmet...
we did same thing on my friend xz6r and after few weeks riding everyday it melted te tail light and part of the back seat hehe. love the sound though, sound like formula1 when you get on the free way.

rebuilding an 05 zx6r/636 right now, took off the exhaust since it had a massive damn hole in it, did not expect it to be so damn loud. Video really doesn't do it justice lol
The exhaust is on, but not the mufler. It's main point is for the sound and some more pressure in the exhaust system. Not really harming the engine, but it's not leading the heat away as well on this bike without it.

Then just 3 days ago I decided to take off the exhaust.. How dissapointed ive been for not doing this a long time ago.. I could not believe I almost spent 300$ for an exhaust when I could just take the stock off.. I was amazed at the sound of my bike 😍
I know what you mean but it wasnt like he went far or ridiculously fast or doing a wheelie it would be pretty hard to wreck going straight 10 years of riding i have never wrecked going straight on a wide open clean road you would have to be a knob head to wreck on a straight road lol
iSkateBoard10 There is a whole video about straight through pipes. They make a huge racket, but suffer from reverberation, which basically means at certain RPM's the exhaust blows air back toward the engine, which sucks big time, because you lose power in a very unpredictable manner, which is not very helpful maintaining control of the bike. Best to stick to having an end can, I like to have a bit of noise on the bike, but no need to annoy the neighbors with a monstrous racket.
I have been thinking about finding, or making a straight pipe exhaust for my future bike, for power & efficiency. I knew it would be loud with no muffler, but whoa, that was almost annoyingly and, embarrassingly loud, other than that, it sounded so beautiful & raw. Maybe it's my bias for straight pipe cat-back exhausts on any engine, but I prefer this sound over any of the bike, aftermarket exhaust videos I've seen, Two Brothers, or whoever.
straight pipe is neither efficient or power making. You need to research header builds by real engineers straight pipes are not worth a flying fugg for anything but noise. Even the best built engines have some pipes to maximize hp at highest revs only. Street bikes well it is beyond dumb.

Poor from mistakes, misfortune, and bad people. That's the best I can do. I took apart the muffler. I hate how loud and attention grabbing it is, but I just got sick of the noticeable restriction, and more importantly, 2stroke unburnt oil kept building up in the muffler, and dripping everywhere. I'm saving for an expansion chamber exhaust, a big, better flowing, and hopefully quiet muffler, and a silicone tube with screw clamps to join them. Maybe I'll get a Y tube, so I can have 2 big mufflers in parallel, to spread out that flow resistance, but still reduce that sound dramatically. I hate how power focused engines announce where they are, and how hard they're working. Attracting degenerates, including punks, drunks, and cops. Electric stealth is what got me into EVs in the first place. The chances I got to ride e-bikes & electric-motorcycle, where so enjoyable. I felt like I was flying around at night. And honestly, it was fun, treating battery management like I was out on a space mission. I was going to turn a metal lockbox, chicken fence bent into zigzags, and fiberglass sheets into a big muffler. But I'll try this double, oversized universal bike muffler idea. Until I have the money to buy or build a powerful electric motorcycle.

This actually surprisingly sounds like the Ninja H2R. I think its because the H2R has a very short exhaust with no baffle in it.
