Nice progress buddy. If you decide to buy that property around you, plant spruce or pine and sell em as Christmas trees. My uncle did that after retirement as a side hustle. He never made more money... Cheers!

That's 7-10 years before seeing any money, but yes, very lucrative once it kicks in!

if you buy that land, you can always grow stuff to feed you homestead animals, any extra can be sold.

We only have chickens so no real need, but we could do timothy or alfalfa first cut hay bales for the horse folks. Maybe hemp and beans on rotation.

I had trouble with that roller getting stuck in the ground so hope you have better luck. As someone else stated rope isn't profitable with wool but better with cotton. Clothes are also just a small profit over fabric. Don't want to change your mind though so lets get that cotton planted.

Thanks for the heads up about the roller, I'll keep an eye out! I accidentally planted peas in one field instead of cotton....so we might do that as well!

I hear rope production loses money. More profit selling the cotton and wool or make fabric and clothes, that’s what I hear anyways
