I love the chopstick and wiggle method for turning handles. I bought an old Eaton's sewing machine in a leather carry case from a thrift store. It only has basic stitches, but does have a free arm. I've used it to make do and mend clothes, but you've opened my eyes to new possibilities. :) Thank you. ~ Jon in rural BC, Canada
I’m still new to sewing and been learning to sew garments. Today your video popped up and what a great surprise! You have done a great job in showing each step and I feel like I could make one and the best part is, it doesn’t need to fit me when done 🤣. You have a very pleasant voice and have a natural why about you to teach and to do it well. Thank you also to your film person, they did a great job in making sure we can see everything you are doing.
Great project! I look forward to your tutorials because you always make me feel so happy. I love your chatty style and your asides are charming. Keep these great delights coming!
I love your explanations. Very clear, very useful… just love them. I’m not English speaking so thank you to be so understandable. Thank you so much Stuart ❤
Hi Stuart!! I watched this video yesterday and have already made two baskets. One 12 in and one 14 in. Thank you for such clear instructions and inspiration. I did fill mine up with fat quarters. This is a great project for sewing themed fabric or for ones you don't want to cut up too much. Thanks!!!!
I've been sewing and quilting for 40 years. I've always shied away from bags because they seem so difficult. Thanks to you I now understand how to do it right. Thank you. I love to watch you. You're fun and an amazing teacher. Keep it up!
Love you and your tutorials. Your instructions are easy to follow but the chat in between is so much fun. I look forward to more videos from you. Please keep ‘me coming.
Just discovered your channel today and really love it. I love your accent. I worked with a man from England for a whole summer doing landscaping and loved listening to him speak. Your voice is exactly like his! And you are a good teacher. You show all the steps and materials required. Thank you.
I love everything you make. Your tutorials are so easy to follow. You’re a great teacher. I’ve made several of these baskets, also the eyeglass case. Thank you!!
You are fabulous! I love your tutorials! I'm a beginner to sewing. The second project I did was your zip pouch. Thanks for the inspiration. I will definitely be making this project as well. Cheers from Mississippi!!
That would be lovely filled with bathroom gifts like fancy soap, candle, bath foam etc. the recipient could take it into the bathroom with them and have a pampering session. Great tutorial Stuart, thank you x
Thank you so much Stuart, that’s a great 👍 idea 💡 and I really really love 💕 those fabrics you used. Your excellent at explaining every detail that we need to complete our own baskets 🧺 xxx Mags
I made this using 18x18 outer fabric and lining and 4 x 12.5 for the handles and it turned out soooooooo cute, I am in love and will make this for all my friends! :) I'll fill it with lotions and soaps! :) Thank you, so much! BTW, you have such pretty blue eyes! :)
Stuart, love the videos! When measuring for the box corners, be sure to tell all to measure out from the seam allowance, not the edge of the fabric. Working on the fabric basket now.
I love you, Stuart!!!! Thank you for your videos, they truly inspire me and you do make it fun!!! You’re a very good, detailed teacher which is so very important. Keep the vids coming, I’m loving them! ❤️
I would like to make a more stiffer sided basket to fit into a shelving unit. What would you suggest to use instead of the bosal? Something heavier, but could it be seen? What a wonderful instructor!

Loriann Cichacki thank you! The pattern is scrappy 16 patch from my second book, “ use scraps, sew blocks, make 100 quilts”... I used lots of Anna Maria Horner and Amy Butler fabrics... several ranges from each designer... just lots of bright beautiful florals mixed with solids. I hope you’ll make your own version! ❤️

Thank you Stuart love it.
What if I want to make the basket bottom bigger.? Yours looks like it is a rectangle shape, I would like more of a deeper and square bottom.
Thanks Stuart I will make one of those soon.
TY, STEU!! 💖😊🌺🌴🦎🎶
If your lining is slightly smaller than the outer fabric, how is that you won't end up with excess fabric as you sew around the top edge?
Would it work because the handles take up the slack being slightly bulkier?
Excellent tutorial !! Thank you :)
Enjoyed watching
Hello Stuart! Where's the Bernina? You now have the Elna how do you like that machine?
I have a lot of fabric I will be trying that out great idea Stuart Lynette Sydney Australia
Where can I find the Christmas Cactus pattern?
Are you still on you tube? I don’t understand instagram and can’t find anything newer then a year from you.

Omg his eyes!
