I live here and hustle out here weekly. Houston is tough due to 6 million people here and much more people here are into soccer and football here big city loves their sports. Its warm most of the year so athletic stuff goes fast, Plus I am also out there hogging it all 👊🏼 Great series boyz!!!
Born and Raised in NYC, Still here. Sourcing at Marshall's, TJMaxx and Burlington is a little bit harder. We go to Jersey to hit those stores. The real gems in NYC are the thrift stores..
LOL that pair of white hypervenoms that had the security tag was a pair of two rights. AND the funny thing is that I saw those at the same Marshalls and left them because of that.
Another great episode! Tough day though! I don't know how you did over 30 stores in one day especially being sick and having a migraine! Serious hustle! Can't wait for the live show and for the next episode!!
As someone who has been dong this in Houston for a few months, yeah seems pretty standard. We have a shit ton of Ross, Marshalls, Burlington, TJ Maxx, Nike Factory Stores(I believe 3 maybe 4), 2 Nike Clearance stores but I rarely find much at anywhere but Nike Clearance stores. I mostly do apparel on Amazon and Ebay is kinda a side thing. The trick to making Nike Clearance work for you is 30% off shoe days, having a resale certificate so its tax free(I need to start doing that), and gift cards for the extra 3 to 7% off. I didn't notice yall were here after the tax free weekend, yeah Nike stores were picked clean. That weekend the clearance stores had 30% off your entire purchase on top of tax free, was pretty insane. With that said the I never leave a clearance store with a ton a shoes, maybe 10 to 12 tops on a great sale day. Like once every other month I get lucky and drop 300 to 400 at a Marshalls that just got a shipment of cleats but can't really build a business on that.
Thanks for the comment spythe! Totally agree with you there on the clearance store. Maybe also it was bad timing going right after the tax free weekend and I really didn't think about it until later on and lots of weird empty areas + deals that probably just passed.
Its pretty much a paper that says your business is a legal business in your state and has the ability to charge sales tax. All physical stores have to have one to operate. The issue is with selling online its kinda grey area atm. You are only required to charge sales tax to sales within your state(which I do) Now if you purchase an item with the intend to resale you're not suppose to pay sales tax on that, because the state assumes whoever you sell it to with pay sales tax for it. Therefore the tax is generated once instead of twice for a single item. Once you get one you have to pay sales tax quarterly or yearly depending on your state

That's what I do too. Try to hit 8-10 Marshalls/Ross a day when traveling through larger cities. In and out in 5 minutes...
for sure! Try to cover more ground that way. Every store is random.

Burlington has been a hit or miss for shoes for me lately. The touristy area was pretty good about a month ago here in FL.
