I believe you had good intentions in this review, however the most important thing is picture quality and you projected on a wall that wasn't smooth or white, makes the whole thing obsolete
I have everything connected, and when I get to the point to watch a Roku TV channel, it allows me to choose the program, and when I do choose the program, I can hear the audio of the show starting, but the screen says to make sure that my HDMI cord that I’m using can handle the video requirements of the show, and that it has video protection. I do not have any other HDMI cord plugged in other than the one that goes from the Roku stick to the projector and that came with it I can use screen mirroring from my iPhone and it works fine. I can also plug my iPhone into the HDMI port using a adapter and that works fine as well. I have Netflix in that other apps on my phone just wishing I could watch Roku.
I've seen that before, what worked for me was unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in making sure it was all the way plugged in on both ends. Also check the system settings on your Roku for an update and after that reset the Roku through the system settings.
It should through the HDMI input, you may need to turn the video settings on your gaming system down to 720p beforehand and work your way up from there...
You can mount it from the ceiling, but the mount is sold separately, you can see the option for mounting it to the ceiling here 2:58 as far as portability it has to stay plugged in for the projector to work, it's pretty small so it's easy to pack and take along but you will have to plug it in for it to work.
I usually only use it in the dark, it looks good/better in dark room settings. I'll try to do a follow up video on this once I get my Projector Screen...
You can watch this anytime of day or night. Just remember it’s a projector so the screen looks better and better in the darker the environment you’re watching it in. If you have black out curtains, that’s great even the wooden shutters work great to block out enough light to watch this I’m watching it with the lights on in my bedroom and I can still see it just fine.
Make sure the remote's batteries are fresh and properly inserted. Try pointing the remote directly at the projector's sensor and pressing the power button. If you have another remote, try using it to see if the projector responds.
I looked those up and they look nice, now this RCA here was on sale when I got it for under 100 bucks, counting in the cost of a Roku express this projector was only about 40 bucks
It works perfect during the day as long as you can make the room as dark as possible that you’re watching it in. We took it to a hotel room that had black out curtains and it worked perfect.
Works great at night. Even better away from street lights and porch lights. Perfect for camping ! Or if you live where it’s dark outside. But honestly, I’m watching it right now in my bedroom, playing around with the settings, using the wall for a projector screen, and the bedroom lights are on, and I can still see it perfectly.
How to do I got the projector to play sound? All the cords look right and the picture is perfect just no sound I have unplugged everything and when I go to settings there’s not many to choose from but I did what it said and still nothing..
If the sound is turned all the way down on your projector, the only way I found to adjust the sound up or down was to use the remote that goes to the projector, I could not get the volume turned down on mine because it was too loud either with the buttons on top of the projector or the Roku remote. It comes with batteries for your Roku remote, but the projector remote will also need two AAA batteries (not included)
The troubleshooting pamphlet that comes with this RCA projector says “ if the projectors speakers have no sound when playing media contents from a set top box, Blu-ray, or DVD player or stream players, connecting to the HDMI input please check the box or players, digital audio settings, and make sure it is set to “PCM stereo” mode.
Yep, you can use the 3.5mm headphone jack to connect a speaker or headphones you can see it at the 1:37 point in the video, it also has a built-in speaker on the projector as well or you can also connect a wireless Bluetooth speaker to it with the Bluetooth connection capabilities.
It works great if you want to plug-in a speaker or sound bar, or if you have speakers in your motorhome or toy hauler or camper that you use for a stereo that’s installed, if it has Bluetooth, you can hook the projector up to your Bluetooth speakers, easily and wirelessly.

The fix anchor hole on the bottom of the projector also connects nicely to a tripod if you’re outside or even if you’re in the bedroom and you don’t have any ceiling mount
It is at the 1:34 point in the video, it looks like it works through an adapter; an Audio/Video to 3.5mm adapter it looks like but I haven't tried it myself...
If you want to connect something like a speaker etc. the speaker must come with a 3.5 mm connector and it plugs right into the RCA projector’s “AV IN” port, which is located right next to the other HDMI, SD card, and power ports
What do you mean by RCA receiver? This RCA projector comes with a Roku stick (with Roku remote included ) and the two connections you need to connect your Roku stick to the projector are included. It comes with an HDMI to HDMI short connector as well as a short power connector. Both of those are used to connect your Roku stick to the RCA projector. There’s even a specific place that the Roku stick fits on this projector on the projector’s right side so it’s not sticking out and you don’t have to find a place for the Roku stick to sit. The Roku stick also comes with self adhesive on the back so that you can aim the Roku stick’s infrared face to wherever you will be sitting and using the Roku remote (just so that you don’t have any issues, aiming the remote at the correct place, and many people also forget and start aiming the remote at the wall where the screen is like you’re used to doing with the television remember and the remote to the projector and the Roku stick!)
Is there a zoom feature? At one point you say youre projecting from 55 feet away. When i try to do that, the picture is way too big, how do i zoom it down to size?
