My erstwhile house-mate and band-mate Bob Black on banjo here. This recording is one that made me decide to devote a lot more time to bluegrass music. Kenny swings so hard that it’s hard to sit still and listen to this. A high water mark in bluegrass fiddle music!
Warren Hanlin- Swings hard and does it so smoothly. What a great combination of elements. He should have been a Dean at a roots music college over the fiddle dept.
Hello Diane, the book is out of print, but I have a copy and I could make you a photo copy of all the fiddle tunes and mail them to you. email me at; perronj84@gmail.com
Definitely my favorite ever...
A great Kenny Baker album, with a beautiful touch of blues played in a classic Kenny Baker way. My favorite!

Is there a Kenny Baker song book somewhere?
Yes, www.bookfinder.com/book/Kenny_Baker-Fiddle/0825602246/ but it's out of print and the used prices are utterly ridiculous.

Who is playing the bass on most of these songs?
