- If you create Podcasts, you kinda NEED one of these. The Allen & Heath CQ series are easy to use and do an incredible job. In this video I'm using the CQ-18T which I also use at shows to record Bands audio for the videos I edit. Yet it's incredibly multi purpose as you can see here, it's PERFECT for recording Podcasts too with builtin Limiters, EQ & also has effects such as Reverb, Modulation and more. This mixer is soooo good that I now have one of my own since filming his video. And yes, it's also hooked up to Logic as an Interface as well as being able to record direct to an SD card within the Mixer.

Brotherrr, excellent content . No need for the background music , I’m sure many people like me we just want to hear what the mic is doing and in relation to the room it’s in! Quality video nonetheless looks like you’re enjoying what you’re doing out there! Cheers
Thank you. I'm always unsure about the whole background music thing. Sometimes I do it and sometimes I don't, but I get your point. I'm still using the CQ18T pretty much daily as it's an excellent unit and is more than just a one trick pony.

Great Review and "Tutorial" of sorts... I uses the CQ18-T to replace my Rodecaster Pro 2, but I'll probably still use my RP2 in conjunction with the A&H... I just like the Audio for music better on the CQ than I do in the RP2... I do music related UA-cam content, and I use the mixer for my music production studio, and for Djing..I'll eventually get into Pod Casting as well... Thanks for sharing! #Salute
I've been using the CQ18T as an interface recently to go Multitrack into Logic and it works flawlessly. What a great device with numerous applications.
