While listening this lecture it came in my mind, I always felt and want to quote here - "Intellectual hatered is much more dangerous, and education is not a tool to eradicate orthodoxy rather people use it against masses."

Well I am not convinced about the influence of Islam on bhakti movement. Saints were wise people.. they were frustrated with ill practice those polluted vedic practices with passage of time ....they were worried of the fact that how 'Hindus' are not following the teachings of Krishna and of Shashtra ...cast system was/is one of such evil pollutants
It's is not denied that bhakti saints had good relations with sufi saints and both were mutually influenced by each other. But influence of Islam can not be said to be the cause of bhakti movement but rather the ill practices.

Before the Advent of Islam as the ruling class of India's elite, there were no such religion which believed in One God, Prayed, Ate and Burried together and no caste system. Before Muslim rulers there were either Hindu, Buddhist or Jain rulers and the three are dharmic religion hence caste remained within these three religions also they worshipped many Gods. Buddhist also became sectarian and started worshipping many Idols. Hindus started worshipping idols after assimilating folk Gods like Chandi, Manasa, Sitala, Balaji, etc. Jains also worshipped their Tirthankaras. Hindu, Buddhist and Jains were divided in many sects.
While Islam had only 2 main sects Shia and Sunni but both worshipped Allad and considered Muhammad as the Rasulullah or the messenger of Allah.
