No, just 2 alternative Yamaha sound chips (YM3256 vs YM2203) giving the music different voicings. The YM2203 version sucks compared to the one played here.

Fantastic sound chip! YM3526 was predecessor of YM3812 and YMF262 used in PC sound cards.

The arcade machine I played it on used the YM2203 version sound chip. This one is ok, but like many people, you bond to the version you first played.
