Like the review, but definitely MUST READ THE PROSE. The appendix, the Black Dossier and Century are a must read since the prose introduce so much in the panels of the following books. Also , the Jubilee Edition doesn't use the paper grain from the original release of Black Dossier. There's actually many Easter eggs based on the grooves of the paper. Just a buyer beware
Dang… this run is so dense with that kind of thing. As is typically with most of Alan Moore’s works, they warrant re-reading and every time you’ll find new things.
I actually sold my LOEG Jubilee Edition omnibus when I acquired the original vol. 1, 2, and Black Dossier in standard HC for two reasons: they're all the same size (I'm planning on building a custom slipcase for all of them, including the Top Shelf books), and because the omnibus lacks the cover art for Vol. 2 and Black Dossier.

I haven’t read The Tempest yet, but I found each volume was worse than the previous one, with the exception that Black Dossier was the worst. Volume 1 was utter brilliance. Volume 2 was very good. Black Dossier was unreadable. Volume 3 was meh.
They definitely get deeper into the Alan Moore weeds as the series progresses. And if you didn’t care for the story, at least you get some brilliant Kevin O’Neill artwork!

Good stuff! I just picked this omni up a few weeks ago and I'm looking forward to digging into it soon. Thanks for the overview!
Jeremy Berglund no problem! I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts!
FINALLY managed to track this (Jubilee) volume down for less than an arm and a leg after mistakenly passing up on it years ago.
That’s awesome! I wish they’d keep it in print. It’s such a good comic! Love having them in one volume.

tapsilogic that slipcase idea sounds neat! Especially if you have it sitting next to the Nemo slipcase!
@@TaylorTalksComics that's the plan!
So which editions do I have to buy to have them all in the same format?

One of my favourite comic series of all time! All time!!
WarlockofWordsReturns RB it’s so good!
I want to read the Nemo trilogy. Is it needed to read anything else before like for context?
Hmmm… I’d read the first LOEG story arc, at least, just to get a feel for Moore/O’Neil’s interpretation of Nemo. But, you should be fine otherwise!
Nice review, thanks for posting
No problem! Thanks for watching!
I've got Volume 2 and The Black Dossier. Doublegood stuff.
Zenny that’s awesome to hear! LOEG rules!
Wonderful overview! Just curious - how do volumes 3 & 4 stack up in comparison to the stories in the Omni?
Rajesh Singh they’re even further down the rabbit hole of Alan Moore’s mind. Haha but, if you enjoy Volume’s 1+2 of LOEG, I’d say you’ll enjoy 3+4
