The most overlooked part of his musical journey is how the subject matter is aging and how spot on he was about specific stuff. You listen to new world on Nastradamus and the stuff he's speaking on is happening or has happened. The subject matter on his untitled album is actually scary listening in hindsight. If we are talking musical catalogs it's not even close he is the greatest ever and that's undisputable or non argumentative. If you line up album for album against anyone the only rapper who has a chance is obviously Jay-Z but since 2012 even that isn't a conversation in reality
I always been a nas fan but that song change me when it drop in my early 20s. I actually thought this song will never get any love but I appreciate the younger generation keeping it alive 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Yes!!❤ power to all people of color and all who are working to defeat the oppressive poison! Only way to defeat them is to be proud of who we are and understand we are limitless LIMITLESS !!!!!❤ much love to all of you❤
The Got yourself a gun song u did correlated around the time he was beefing with Jay z. So the references in that song are all towards J and his crew. I am an old head love your Videos. Keep it going.
In my opinion, this may be the greatest mic performance EVER. The way Nas was rapping on this… is the guy nobody wants to mess with. Like ever. Nobody besides him would even DARE to talk like this on record.
🎉🎉🎉alright @moni u got a subscriber from me, 10000 out of 10 - u my kind of peeps if u rocking hard with that track also. when i first heard it back when stillmatic first dropped i think i stuck playing that song 7xs in a row before playing the rest of the album. Absolute 🔥 🔥 🔥 💥
Check out Rule and 2nd Childhood (Chris Rock once said it was his favorite song ever) both from this album. STILLmatic is a masterpiece every song is a banger on it.
Great work Sis appreciate ur time and effort. Song was pretty dope and u only got thru id say 1% of his music. You have allot of this is my favorite.... Do No idea original
Jay z is my second favorite MC ever and I have to admit the only reason he made the 444 album is because that was the Gap in subject matter he was always critiqued about the most against Nas. Before he wrapped up his run he had to prove he could speak on specific subjects and display open vulnerability. If we developed a checklist Nas simply checks more boxes and even the ones they both check off he happens to be better at for example storytelling and range of subject matter. A good example is God's son. In a matter of five songs he somehow spand from made you look to I can. And those were his two main singles. Do you know how hard it is to be proficient enough accomplish something of that nature. They are geared towards two completely different audiences yet we're equally successful.
This a top 5 Nas song there's nothing like a Lady that appreciate the 🐐s music
