Iggy P still gives us great sounds and a huge variety of music on BBC Radio 6 music. Lovely voice too
Simplesmente fantástico!!!iggy manda muito bem!!!
Amo o Iggy!
This is visceral.
This is pretty close to the original version. It's more raw and really didn't get the same critical acclaim it deserves as the Bowie version 6 years later. Personally i think its better.
Such poignant rendition! Apparently Iggy still ached for the girl after all those years.
As much as I love David Bowie, Iggy’s original just grips me for some reason
@@ozthewizard1 True pain for unreciprocated love.
Considering the "China Girl" being discussed in the song is a cocktail of heroin and cocaine, I'd say he is aching for it in 1986.
But by the looks of things, it seems like She's on stage with him.
They met in the 70's, at the Michel Magne's Hérouville castle, during the recording of The Idiot album, realized with David Bowie.
@@LouisVillaniShe was engaged to be married to a French singer songwriter who was recording in that same building.
FAB :)
Que sexy por Dios!!! Amo a Iggy pop es un grande!! 😍
🔥
Grande Mr Iggy Fucking Pop!
Simplesmente bom, grande iggy
... The Godfather
First
Игги тут конечно не в лучший форме,непростой был период в его борьбе с зависимостями
Mejor la versión de Bowie
claramente no sabes de lo que hablas, pobrecito.
@@danielalcala1044hombre un merluzo por aquí 😂
I've heard better at karaoke! 😂
He's disgusting but he did write a good song along with David Bowie. Superb musicality.
why the fuck would he be disgusting
Amazing
lol cocaine is a hell of a drug.... awesome performance though...
I don't know, I think it's just Iggy Pop's energy
She was a French Vietnamese model engaged to a French singer songwriter. Iggy really fell for her. But I bet that he didn't seem to be a reliable enough sort of guy to her...
On this tour he was totally clean. Not even cigarettes
sublime concert
Игги равных нет!✌
He Wrote The song n David Bowie nailed it with his Blessing ❤
Last man of the Holy Trinity. Both David Bowie and Lou Reed died on a Sunday morning. Long live Iggy, but when the time eventually comes, I hope it'll be a Sunday morning as well
Kevin Armstrong on guitar
ele sempre foi único
Por lejos el mejor de todos
He does it better then Bowie!
"... BATMAN"
Vietnamese girl not china girl
Bowie's iconic version of "China Girl" was only possible because of Nile Rodgers.
Funny, I think Iggy's is the iconic one, and Bowie's pales compared. Oh well.
@@mikefiftynine Wow... Iggy's version was an amateurish mess with a sound that can only be described as 'garage quality'. Bowie's version is a masterpiece with his solid spooky vocals, a bass and drum line almost everybody recognizes immediately, and just incredible guitar work from Stevie Ray Vaughn.
@@mts7274 Funny you say that because Bowie composed the music, contributing piano, synthesizer, alto saxophone, rhythm guitar, toy piano, and backing vocals to the version released by Iggy. Bowie only released the other version so Iggy could get some much needed cash. Iggy's is definitely the more heartfelt and musically interesting, while I like the other version, is a bit radio friendly/sanitised and lacks the feeling of the original.
@@secretsfullofsaucers Iggy's version of the song is absolute trash, and sounds like a college band demo tape. You know was trash? Try listening to the demos Van Halen recorded of all their songs before Ted Templeman straightened that band out.
And Stevie Ray Vaughn
Excellent. Bowie version is smoother.
Amazingly crap !
The band let him down a bit. Couple of bum notes and pauses
Lucky Bowie covered this song or it would be in the trash can still
Actually I like this version more.
Actually Bowie wrote it
@@Cesar_09_ I love Bowie but both of them wrote this song together. It's based on Iggy's unrequited love.
Iggy is the King of Punk. Bowie was his paduan.
He did not cover it he wrote half of it.
Bowie wrote the melody Iggy wrote the lyric.
That was most of the the idiot album.
