I got lucky with mine. My main face is pretty much perfect, dead on really. The second face is okay and I will replicate the death scene with acrylic rods, some sanding, and some translucent red spray paint. Should look good.
Great review as always Robo, I was also thinking what other face they could have added and the only expression I could think of that I would have prefered over the "being impaled by maul's lightsaber" was the closed eyes (meditating) face in the scene where he's waiting for the forcefield to open to continue fighting Maul, maybe Bandai should have just used the money they spent on the extra face to add a little bit of height to the figure (that's just my opinion), the figure looks great but I think being Liam Neeson he should be just a hair taller.
What do you think action figures will be like in 5 years time? I feel like some of these import figures are already quite advanced I don't know what can be done to improve them. At least in terms of articulation.
Figuarts has teased a new style or system that involves covered joints so the sculpt isn't broken up. But I only saw one picture, not sure if they are still pushing it or working on it or what.
I know everyone hated Jar Jar but a figure of him would be pretty great in 6inch. He has an interesting design and would translate well. If they made him rare then there would be less chance for it not to sell. It would also be funny seeing scalpers sell a Jar Jar figure for a lot of money. I would defiantly buy it we need more prequel black series.
Legend_oflouis Jar Jar would add so much fun to people's shelves and ACBA photos. That's why I love the Harley Quinn even though I'm not a Suicide Squad fan.

Idk which version of qui gon to get. In this review the SH figuarts version seems to fall apart easily the hair sticks out a little, and the articulation is kinda limited but this version looks more realistic.

I think mace would look good with the black series qui gon cause it looks like the height matches better .neeson 6'4 jackson 6'2 it looked pretty good could be wrong tho lol.....we need some black series pod racers now!

The secondary market will raise the price like crazy then if the sites like Mykombini, and Anime-export get more they will sell them for the higher price. I think I figured out what's off....his face is a tad too wide, especially in the forehead area, and his eyebrows are a little too manicured. Reminds me of another actor from the 90s or something but can't place it. After a few reviews I figured just subscribe! They've all been fun to watch. Thanks for all the up to date Info 👍
Great figure but the likeness only being like 80-90% there is distracting me. It looks more human and realistic than the black series but something is definitely a little off. Extra head seems kind of useless if he doesn't have a hole in the chest. That would've been a cool feature.
It’s a little bit grainy but Liam Neeson, like Harrison Ford & Mark Hamill, has a very difficult likeness to capture in figures. SH did a stellar job here I think.
Finally we have a Qui-Gon Figure But i need a PloKoon Figure. That were cool because i can buy the mace Qui-Gon and PloKoon Figure then i have my favorite jedis

Bandai does with most of the characters with blonde hair. I guess to simulate light reflection. They've toned it down over the years though, that first Jedi Luke was straight up gold gold.

I think I'm gonna just stick with the black series Qui-Gon for now. The headsculpt on the figuarts is off just enough for me that I definitely can't justify the $120 price tag he's going for now. Kinda bums me out because Qui-Gon is one of my favorite prequel characters. Can't wait for The Last Jedi Rey figuarts though, that figure looks amazing.
Didn't say I don't think the figuarts isn't superior, but neither of them really look like him imo. In my eyes, this is the worst likeness in a face sculpt Bandai has done for Star Wars yet. But the black series is only like $20 and the figuarts is 6x that price. If I'm gonna have a figure that doesn't look right either way' I'll stick with the $20 one.
The alternate head will be much more useful if he also comes with a cellphone so he can talk to a bunch of kidnappers through it.

Yeah, he extends up a bit at the waist but I agree, he should be a little taller.

Kinda bums me out because Qui-Gon is one of my favorite prequel characters. Can't wait for The Last Jedi Rey figuarts though, that figure looks amazing.
Definitely disagree with you, he's far superior to the black series. I mean it doesn't even look close to him, like a stunt double....lol
Didn't say I don't think the figuarts isn't superior, but neither of them really look like him imo. In my eyes, this is the worst likeness in a face sculpt Bandai has done for Star Wars yet. But the black series is only like $20 and the figuarts is 6x that price. If I'm gonna have a figure that doesn't look right either way' I'll stick with the $20 one.
