This is my transcription and arrangement of 'Graze the Roof' from the soundtrack to Plants vs. Zombies by Laura Shigihara. All rights of the original composition belong to her, PopCap Games, and Electronic Arts.
Instruments used:
Piano is TruePianos VST, specifically Diamond module
Bass marimba, pizzicato violin, tubular bell, strings (with and without cutoff), full strings pizzicato, and harp are from Edirol Orchestral VST
The sine sound is a simple sine patch made by me in 3xOsc
The synth bass is from Nexus
The closed hat and snare are from TR-808
The other drum samples are called DNC_Hat and RD_Kick_2. I'm not sure what drum machines they are from

Side note: I had some issues with this in Synthesia. It would always freeze when the MIDI started and there are a few frame drops later in the video. I tried tons of different things however the problems could not be alleviated, so unfortunately I think the problem stemmed from Synthesia itself. Hopefully it's not too big of an issue.
This song is pretty old, why did you choose it? For nostalgia's sake?
I made a video a while back for Braniac Maniac, and people seemed to like it. Plants vs. Zombies was one of my favorite games and soundtracks, so I kept making more. At this point, I've done most of the soundtrack, so I want to finish it off and do the rest of it.

@@123qazxsw Hi. What I do on this channel I don't do too much anymore. I've tended to be interested in other projects lately. I'm more interested in making music rather than transcribing, which I don't do a whole lot anymore. I do plan on returning, though I can't say for sure when.

@@t.g.4264 if you use a UA-cam to mp3 converter, some phones allow mp3s to be used as ringtones.

Great work! Your Synth versions of the songs in this game are far better than the ones made by PCPianoGuy, there far more accurate and the choice of instruments are better as well.
*If only you did Cerebrawl, it's my favorite song in the game. PCPG did it but not very well...*
Thanks! I try my best to be as accurate to the original as I can. Sometimes I have to cut corners, for example, in the OST version of Graze the Roof the first instrument you hear is most similar to a tubulum PVC instrument, but I had a difficult time finding a VST for that, so I substituted for a marimba. But in most cases it's similar to the original. And I plan on doing Cerebrawl! I believe it's one of the last tracks from Plants vs. Zombies I have yet to make a video on, and I definitely will start working on it soon.
TheSuperCommentGuy Say.. just a little request. Well you made this theme with the horde version included half way through the video. Why don't you make the other songs with their own horde versions too? Btw I fully agree with the guy's comment above ours.
I made the other ones without percussion as I didn't think it was my strong suit nor did I think it would work well within Synthesia. But since I tried it this time it seemed to work out well so I will probably include percussion in the future. Since I have already finished those videos in the past I don't think I will go back and redo them since it it not a major difference.
Yup! Not gonna lie, but PCPianoGuy is actually rather terrible at music, is unable to transcribe the chords right, and otherwise musically incompetent.
PCPianoGuy is better, this one is way to hard

I wish the boss of modern day in pvz2 was a remake of the roof boss from this game
this song brings back a grand deal of memories and I dont know why my playthrough of pvz1 started many years ago with a youtube video of it and than I downloaded it onto my Tablet and I played up until the night levels where I could not pass the first level with disco zombies but with some help from a friend and many cherry bombs I passed. Than with my "Major Moves" I beat the pool, the pool at night, and the roof
