Mustang did burn Hawkeye's back, but he didn't burn all of it, just the important parts of the alchemy. In a previous episode, we saw her back while she was taking a shower and it was disfigured in a couple spots. But what Hawkeye said about taking the secrets of Flame alchemy with her was because if anyone saw what was left of her back, they could possibly piece together the rest.
I think she probably honestly, would have wanted him to burn more of it.. but where I see it from is, that he couldn't keep going past a few scorch marks. She probably would have gone all the way, getting all of it off of her back
I'm not sure anyone catches the Riza twist the first time. But now I realize the thing that tipped her off was probably "Stay right by my side." Roy asked her to always have his back, so that not only could they stand together (two warriors back to back are harder to take down than side by side in many myths/legends) but also so that she could always get the jump on him if he went down the wrong path... Envy couldn't have known that so it said the logical thing. "Unfortunately", it was wrong.
Notice how Envy called Ed by his name instead of just "human" or "pipsqueak" right when he ended his life?
We saw Hawkeye's back in an earlier episode; it's badly scared, but a lot of the tattoo is still there. So Mustang did try to remove it, but likely feared he'd kill her if he did much more.

Yeah, Armstrong used the force and angle of that last strike from Sloth to, un-dislocate his arm and pop it back into place.
Oh, I just noticed that one particular angle of Father at the end, making him look like he's in a glass flask :)

If you made an Envy (worm) hoodie, you could possibly use their mouth as the hood with toothy trim. Envy's got six legs, maybe you could incorporate some plushy legs into a a pair of over the shoulder sleeves / pockets. Envy's tail / tiny body could become a short cape, or connect it in a way that it pulls tight across the abdomen when you cross your arms. A thought anyway.
I might look at a reinforced fabric yoke in the lining to ensure tension spreads the way you want it to. Especially if the sleeves include utility pockets to carry any substantial load.

Roy quite a few episodes back.. says something along the lines of:
"I feel most alive when I'm fighting against a monster"
here Roy is referred to as a monster or on the brink of becoming one ironically
Imma be honest, I cried at Envy’s death, despite hating him all season. That’s great writing
this episode was sad when Envy killed himself because Ed found out when he got the name Envy in the first place but Envy was being so dramatic when he broke down
Lol Roy is for sure the hottie for the guys in this show. Scar too a bit I guess, but Roy is for sure the male eye candy, so I don't blame Maple

I am glad that you understand the reason why they stop Mustang from killing Envy himself

From Episode 10 on, we root and cheer for Mustang to get his revenge. Then, at the moment that would be his greatest victory in any other show, we find ourselves begging him to not continue.
Envy gave himself away by saying "stay right by side LT." In a previous episode, Roy told Riza to watch his back. But that also means you can shot ne in the back. That's why Riza always walks a step or 2 behind Mustang.
Another thing, ppl always say this was the Lust treatment or the same as Lust. I disagree. Just was about survival. Roy was in danger. She was going to kill everybody. Envy was strictly vengeance. Roy was never in danger from anyone except himself.
2:30-2:34: NOTE: just how much of an expert fire alchemist Mustang is: he actually burned every trace of Envy here, up until it was wrapped around Hawkeye!
Even tho Mustang has already burned a few spots on Hawkeyes back, there's still a lot left. Each session has to be incredibly painful as well, since she doesn't necessarily want it covered up, she wants it gone completely.
But the pain and risk is something she doesn't want to stray away from either, since it's just more penance for her actions in the war

Roy Mustang:.. NOT the Führer Amestris deserves, but definitely the one she needs....
Eh, I'm not going to spoil anything, but the conclusion of Mustangs story makes me suspicious if this is true.
This is one of my favorite episode. Initially for just watching Envy get curb-stomped... But, also the very human part of not giving in to hatred or anger... Once you go beyond a certain point, you can never go back....

Man after watching y’all react to this I really want to see you watch Jujutsu Kaisen and Vinland Saga. Vinland Saga might be a little heavy but I think it would be worth it

DeathNote could actually be a good replacement when FMA:B is done. The drama and suspense fit the channel. And a protagonist you can love to hate, not unlike Walter White.

Maple with that hairstyle you could cosplay as Lust and have your plush Envy on your shoulder. Anyway awesome reaction ladies. Seeing Mustang snap his finger and do yo step he can do it all by himself lol. You could definitely almost dance to the snap of his finger.
On a side note... Two of the oddest things I've seen, in my younger years working at a grocery store... One was a kid wearing a bear hat, that had like flaps that extended down and the ends had little pockets.... The other was a different kid, who had a purse, made out of a bear's HEAD. Like a stuffed animal toy head.... And she would open the mouth to go into the bag... The latter kinda wigged me out a bit... it seemed a bit....grizzly... HAW!!! sorry....

episode 53 and 54 are my favorite because vengeful mustang is amazing

I've watched FMAB so many times, but these episodes that have ending scenes to accompany the outro song are always so cool. This one underscores how the far the story has progressed; Mustang avenged Hughes, Envy is gone, Izumi proclaims herself an Alchemist, Central Command is on the verge of collapse, and Hohenheim and Father have _finally_ reached their showdown. But it's not over yet. There are ten episodes left, and things are still going to get crazier.
