@@gaetanoschristmaschannel That's a good question. In the beginning/midway through the year he was playing good football. Once you start going through that nasty divorce slash custody battle he completely changed everything from the way he acts to his play on the field. So right now I'd say a positive. How about you what's your thoughts?
Lions Cam Sutton was terrible for them last year especially in the playoffs. I hope he isn't guilty of what he's accused of but we got better with him gone. Now just draft some good dbs in the draft!
Im a die hard bears fan, and I don’t know I’ll say we’ll be top three in the NFC north! The reason I say that because the lions made it to the NFC champ and Packers have 11 picks 😮😮😮😮
Zeitler is basically a replacement for Jonah Jackson. Arguable if the Lions got better or not at the position. They also lost their WR2 in Josh Reynolds, which means Goff also loses his “safety valve” of nearly 7 seasons. Last season, 37 of his 40 receptions resulted in a first down or TD. Jameson Williams should be able to fill the role but it’s not even debatable that they got weaker at WR unless they do something in the draft.
@@stanreaper3080 i’d agree with Jonah being injured too much. But he’s potentially got a long career ahead of him. Zeitler is approaching the end of his.
Signing sam darnold was a really smart move if they are planning on drafting a qb. Id give darnold the whole season unless he gets hurt. Give your rookie a chance to sit and learn. Im a packers fan though so thats just what we do with qbs over here haha
It’s hard for the Lions to defend the pass when guys like Mosley played two snaps and tore his other ACL. CJGJ was out mostly all year pass rush missed James Houston And they the Lions that is still won 12 gam s should be 13 but Dallas was the team the NFL wanted the Lions to only win 12 but this season the Lions will win 14 games if not more
I get what the Vikings did, made sense. I get what Detroit is doing, makes sense, Detroit wins in the draft not FA. People make fun of their drafts till a year later when they are like really another All Pro. I’m not a Detroit fan but they have been drafting really well. GB FA was… you brought in Jacobs, but lost Aaron Jones, that’s basically a wash. You have the two best run defenses in the nfl in the north.
I think people are sleeping on the Lions. Bottom line, they got better and didn't have to pay much. That is unlike teams like the Bears, Vikings and Packers. I think the overspending by the NFC North teams is a reaction to how good Detroit really is. The other part that people don't mention is how young Detroit is in many positions but especially on defense. But we will see, it's going to be fun. I don't think the Bears are actually going to improve even with Williams. I think the Packers are legit, but Love will take a step back now that the league has more time to plan for him. We will see.
We don't know Love takes a step back. The league has tape, but but he seems to have found his confidence and groove now. He learned how to play tier 1 QB football over the final 8 or 9 games during the season. Add onto that the Packers have a loaded WR and TE group. While they don't have that marquee name like Keenan Allen there, these guys are really skilled and really good. And the best part is they're all young and are growing together. So, I'd disagree about the Love regressing part because momentum is on his side, and I think this young offense will take another step forward this year. The defense is new, however. The bigger question is, will this new 4-3 look be better for the players there than the 3-4 was? Lions will compete and be tough. The Bears could be better but could be held back by rocky play from Caleb Williams. It all hinges on him. They got a good enough defense. The Vikes will (likely) be led by a rookie QB (or Sam Darnold) and an aging, injury-prone 29-year-old HB. It's going to be a battle for the crown between the two former teams.
If it weren’t for an act of god the bears would have swept Detroit in pretty brutal fashion. They also had an act of god go wrong in Denver. Honestly should have been a 9-8 team. Think they closed 5-4 when they got Montez sweat. Can’t see how they aren’t better next year especially with losing hardly anything and gaining several pieces. If they get solid qb play packers lions and bears gonna be quite competitive. Honestly think the division will could contend for the best in the nfc.
@@jamesnelson8469 I remember when I had a bad team and looking at individual games to make me feel better. Cut to the chase, it doesn't mean you're a good team even if you beat a few good teams along the way.
Who did the bears overspend on? Lmfao you clearly didn’t follow their offseason they hardly paid anyone only guy they took a big cap hit on was Keenan and it’s a 1 year deal… swift 8 mil, Everett 6 mil, byard 7.5 mil and a bunch of 1 year deals lol only players they actually spent long term money on were their own.
Lions still team to beat in the division. With Cousins and Fields gone, the quarterback position will be suspect with the Bears and Vikings. Bears, Vikings, and Packers are the ones who needed to add more personnel to better their rosters and not the Lions.
Lions need d-line and cb help, no secret. They need to learn how to contain dual threat QBs. If they can't cover and can't rush, no amount of run stopping will keep Love from carving up that D, just like Rodgers did before he/they declined.
9:23 I don't know if I agree with this analysis. You can't just look at number of catches. I could be wrong, because I haven't watched a ton of Jacobs' game. But he strikes me as an RB that catches dump offs. But Aaron Jones is soooo much more than that. He's no WR1, but but the man can and does run routes. He can run a fly, run a hook, run a crossing pattern. He can run a good portion of the WR tree. And do not discount his ability to run between the tackles, or take it outside. So when you say they gain versatility with Jacobs, I don't see it. I think what they gain is a great runner who is younger and stays on the field more. And that to me is enough to make the move. But Jones is far more unpredictable than Jacobs.
So, you give the Vikings the lowest grade, but keep showing JJ. And then you show someone that is no longer on the Bears team in Kalil Mack. Maybe update your rosters before you grade anyone.
lol they signed Greenard, Van Ginkle, and Cashman for basically Hunter's contract. If they sign Jefferson to an extension and draft the QB they want. Easy A... currently a B- at worst.
