This American thinks the King's speech was heartfelt and filled with compassion. I loved his references to Jesus. As a Christian I thought it was lovely he included those of other faiths. How blessed are we to have this wonderful King speaking of caring for others as we would wish to be cared about ourselves. What a breath of fresh air to hear these words from a leader AND to witness that he and the Queen model what they ask of us.
The Guards' brass ensemble and the Bexley children's choir were the perfect 'bookends' to HM the King's Christmas message. Brilliantly played, spoken and sung. The soprano descant in the last verse of the carol was beautiful! God save the King!

I am an American and I was throughly blessed while hearing the words of King CharlesI III. I am not an observer of the traditions of Christmas, but the King united my heart with those of diverse beliefs. It was a moment that the words of others was given a bit of truth. For, they speak of “the magic of Christmas” with little understanding given to the word, magic. I gazed into my phone and saw examples of good will being highlighted from within the Royal Family. King Charles, in all his learned humility, captured us in a sense of awe. I don’t know how he threaded his presentation together to create a tangible light, but I sensed he did. Maybe I saw a glimpse of magic that is so often conveyed only in words. It was rather a few moments in time that can never be recaptured, and that touches the realm of the miraculous. I stand and applaud you, King Charles. Thank you.
Exactly, a good speech. Nowhere else does anyone else stand up and say a positive message to us, speaking to all as just humanity. Sometimes the United States president will do so and their state of the union address… but they often are criticized and they call it “rhetoric” to diminish it- rather than recognizing that some people actually are “speaking from the heart”

King Charles looks so much like both of his parents. I was quite struck during the speech when I would momentarily see Prince Phillip in him and would be thinking wow, he looks like his Dad only to moments later see an expression that so invoked his mother her late majesty the Queen. They would both be so proud of him and the wonderful job he is doing.

The Queen was fearless and supported her people through war and was magnificent.... the new King has a different 'war' to fight, empathy, hate, greed, disrespect for the lives and environment of others including animals, and I think he sees that, he sees the bigger picture....if we don't all do things now to make positive changes, there is no future for our planet, so he is the right person at the right time... and I hope he is not 'gagged' by those who say he's too political....its not politics, it's common-sense

He has a coat of arms, which is the same for all monarchs and then he has a royal cypher, which has this really beautiful overlayed design (do google it, it's nice), that cannot be replicated in print, so the letters are just written sequentially CIIIR (Charles III Rex), similar to the late Queen's royal cyphre, which had a more linear design EIIR (Elisabeta II Regina)
