Whould you rather prefer the XO or Play version? Or another one of a different brand?
Does the Play come with usb-c charging, too?

TPOB play or TPOB XO/X clipper?

  • @esichkar

Hello friend, please help decide: *TPOB Play* vs *_VGR 003_*
Keeping in mind top 3 needs:
#1 silence of motor (for cutting my toddler’s hair)
#2 overall performance for AT HOME USE ONLY and then
    #3 best bang for buck.
Which of these two would you say seems to be the better pick?
I have been eyeing the *_VGR 003_* on Amazon, only *_$50 USD_*
*TPOB Play* offers very similar performance and features I would like in a cordless clipper, and then some extra but of course for *$125 USD.* I am not sure if spending extra on *TPOB Play* vs one of JRL "clones" i.e. *_VGR 003_* would be worth it for my expected use case, or if it would be simply *overkill.*
Based on your usage of these two clippers, which would you recommend? I can still afford *TPOB Play,* but if *_VGR 003_* can achieve what I need why not save the extra $$?
    Any insight is greatly appreciated!
Also, *_thank you for the content you provide on this channel._* Man is there a clipper you have not covered on your page?? Very in depth and informative, this is very valuable to us consumers, professional barber and at home self cut DIYers alike. I appreciate the time, money you spend to buy all these products and effort you put into making such content. God bless you

The Play and jrl blades pulled hair on a few clients so I put faper on and no more pulling. I think it is the oil reservoirs on the blades.

Motor look like got the thin wire
D390 "0.33mm"59, weak motor but it shoud have high drain battery 2.5A?!
Wahl senior got the RS-380 0.44mm45 thiker wire sot it runs quicker!
So, what I have done is.
I disassembly the motor, I put on double bearing so thata decrease the vibration on the shaft.
I installed the motor on Wahl Magic clipper, after I replaced the battery to a high drain one, also I put Gamma fade blades on it , so now the clipper got 8300 rpm but most important is a very quiet one.
