So depressing, I was in your shoe once before took me 21.5 yrs to walk away from a stressful, depressing marriage. I am happy now with someone who truly loves, cares, and respect me. We both worked hard together then I start seeing money growing in my bank account. When I left my ex husband I walked away with nothing no money on me, my now husband is older than my ex husband but he held 2 full-time jobs worked so hard bought a house, have new cars and we even remodel our house within 3.5 yrs we both accomplished so much more than when I used to be married to my ex husband for 21.5 yrs.

Yeah, I think it's exaggerated to justify her excuse for dumping a guy who's down on his luck. I'm sure he has a job during the years he petitioned for her to come to the US. All you need is a minimum of $22,000 in gross income -- that's equivalent to $12/hr -- during the 1-2 years you filed the petition then can quit. But you don't need a job to bring your fiance/wife into the US. There are other ways. You can have someone else, like a family member or relative, be co-sponsor, you can use assets instead of income (a lot of Hmong has no job but a lot of assets, especially those growing marijuana). Lots of Hmong Americans in their 60s and 70s has gotten their Hmong Lao teen wives into the US... not just 1 but multiple wives one after the other, even when they're still married because they fake their divorces (a divorce only on paper) so they have 2, 3 even 4 wives... and Hmong Lao are more than happy to be a 2nd, 3rd or 10th wife to a Hmong American as long as he pays them a $5k - $10k bride price, buy them land, house, rice paddies, cars, mopeds, send them money monthly, and get her into the US.
