They went back to it because MagSafe is awesome. If you trip on the cable it magnetically pops off instead of ripping your computer with it like Type C would do. Also it allows you to have both of your USB ports free while charging. And the braided cables are much more durable than the rubber non fabric ones.

8gb of unified memory is not sufficient,cuz macOS eats around 5gigs of it( to be able to run) Shoulda gone for 16gb/512gb ssd 8gb is not good for ML tasks......but yea 8gb should be good if you are not a hardcore editor
omg rip, i do have an external hard drive that I use for editing but ill keep this in mind for my next computer or hopefully I can get an iMac for editing lol
