Please make a video on how to use "OFF" in a sentence.
So if I say for example "I looked over the room and spotted him"...is it the same as " I looked on the other side of the room"...?
Hey, thank you for video it is very nice. I would like to ask something. Can we say " I heard the news over social media" ?
Yes, we can say that but "I heard the news *on* social media." sounds more natural.
Thanks for your comment. I am happy that you like my English lessons.
Best wishes,
Andrew
Thank you Andrew! Is It correct to say: I was watching your video over I was washing the dishes? Cheers from México!
Hi
Thanks for your comment.
No you should use "while" for that:
I was watching your video *while* I was washing the dishes.
Andrew
@@CrownAcademyEnglish Ok thank you 👍😊
@@carlarl1082 i think it could be like this
i watched your video over my work,
Here are my sentences with "over":
1-) These banns apply if you are 18 or over.
2-) Don't move! There are a few bees over your head.
3-) When he had thrown the stone she put her hands over her face.
4-) Can you hear me over the wall?/ She ran over the garden.
5-) They have over 1500 warplanes.

Hi Andrew. Can I use two prepositions together? For example: THERE'S A SIGN JUST OVER THE DOOR. I'd be over the moon if you were able to answer it.
We want the preparation across please ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Explain preposition through and around please
This word (over) made so many problems to me till now
Hi Andrew☺ interesting. Over is a very common preposition often used in daily English conversation and phrasal verbs☺ thanks for your time☺
You're welcome. I am going to do another video about phrasal verbs with "over". :)
Andrew
Ali has presided over the meeting... What is this use? In lesson,,, In which meaning we put this sentence
OVER the radio/TV or ON the radio/TV ? Which one is correct? It is not clear to me.
In the sentence: He lost his job over his bad management performance. Is over an adverb here? Thanks
I am from India, Sir I would request you please solve all preposition of 150 from Cambridge University press . Please sir please
So, In meaning No.7, could we say that we could replace over with by, i.e over = by; besides, in the meaning, No. I think 3, " over the road ", would you please simplify the meaning and show where is exactly the other side of the road?. regarding to the other example, I understood the meaning which is the other side of the page, but I couldn't imagine where is the other side of the road?
We shall discuss the matter_ Cup of tea.(with/over).plz reply me
Both are fine.
"over a cup of tea" is better.
Which is your language
Hello Andrew my teacher
It is excellent and perfect lesson but where could I found other using of the "OVER "as :an adverb_a noun _ an adjective and prefix. ..thank you so much. ..
Make a video preposition "with"
This is a very very good class...thanks for the great teaching over the class preposition and his uses...interesting class and important too? You are a very good teacher. THANKS
See you over lunch break
over acts like about too??
"overreact" is a verb, yes that is correct. It means to excessively react to something.
Example:
When he lost the game, he cried. He *overreacted.*
Best wishes
Andrew
I'm still not clear about using between over and on. According to the examples, I would say that she puts her hands on her ears..not over, etc.
"Over the years"
meaning
I read this book 100 times over ... what shall it mean?
Why are you use only the name Jane????
I think you forgot one more meaning 'on the subject of'.
Who is Jane? Are you love to Jane maybe? hahaha just kidding.
I choose the names Jane, Mark and Clare because they are short names and don't take up much space on the screen. 👍🙂
But I am struggling with some examples which do not suit into any of those categories.
-You always cry over boys!
-He is gonna risk his life over a stupid marathon
-I can't support you if you hurt yourself over drugs
All of these are real examples heard from natives. Is this OVER kind of THE REASON OF SOMETHING?
Really I don't know how to use "over"this video awesome
