    for those who are confused ... y(x0)=0 , y(x1)=?..... y(x4)=2.5
    x0=0 x1=0.25 x2=0.5 x3=0.75 x4=1 so since x4 is equal to 1 so y1 means the value of y when x is 1. hence
    y(1)=y4=2.5 ............... note : y1 does not means y(1)

    Thank you very much prof. I have a point that, if boundary values are given as the first derivative at 0 (i.e y'(0))=0 and y(1)=2. how to solve the problem sir? Thank you in advance.

    My ans for the last que. was Y1=2.5(given);
    Y2=5.51;
    Y3=8.895625
    As calculated . No complex system of equation was formed. These ans. were directly available after we slightly solve the basic equations.

      Dude sorry to say that but your answer is wrong
      u misinterpreted the y1 with y(1) .. ally learn pls check before pinning the answer..
      Answer : y1=1.048 , y2=0.179 , y3=1.276 ...... ie. y(0.25)=1.048 , y(0.50)=0.179 , y(0.75)=1.276
      or if u try with tridiagonal system then it is like .... y1=1.90272 , y2=1.94019 , y3=2.130100
