    I have very good results. You will learn more with the practice, like everything. The manufacturer instructions are only to have an Idea. But is a Fantastic Small Cooking device.

    We bought ours on Tuesday and made the holiday turkey on Thursday. I used foil to control browning but still had to turn it over. Next time I'll know better. It tasted delicious, cleanup was a breeze and at $35 this is a bargain. We weren't prepared for the mothership landing in the kitchen when we first turned it on but it made things that much more exciting.

    while the chicken rests, it will reabsorb some of its juices and keep on cooking. So if initially it doesn't say 165 but is close, it will keep cooking for those 10 or 15 minutes and by the time you cut it and eat it, it will have reached its 165 temp and not be dried out. The chicken looked amazing.

    Whole fresh chicken, cooked to perfection. Thank you.
    * Room temp bowl - lowest shelf - Place breast side down - include the spacer ring.
    * 18 mins per pound at 460F (238C) per "your" chicken.
    * Turn tits up halfway through cooking time.
    * Test for 165° F (75° Celsius) Recommended safe temp.
    * Rest in foil for 10 mins...DONE.
    NOTE:
    Recalculated from your experience and ease of passers by.
    There may be slight differences due to other ovens components in handling temps and timings. So do check final cooking temp as above.

    I got a Galloping Gourmet Cuisine Express last month, for $7 at a thrift store, here in Tyler Texas. I did a 7lb roasting chicken in it, and it was Incredible.. and it's very healthy cooking, over 16 ounces of fat was at the bottom of the bowl, below the rack. The chicken was tasty and moist.! I love it.
    My unit doesn't use a Halogen bulb, which I've heard, that they fail prematurely. The unit I have has a Induction heating coil, and it has no lights in the cooking bowl. I'm gonna add some SMD or COB lights to it, to simulate the Halogen glow 😆

    Nice job! One thing I plan on doing differently is to use butchers twine and maybe 2 handles - one for the top and one for the bottom. You ended up in too much hassle flipping it, etc.

    The turbo convection ovens that don't use halogen for heating are much better. They cook in half the time (10 min/lb of chicken, for example) and don't require turning the chicken over. I have an early model Aroma Aeromatic Convection Oven and I just roasted three large chicken quarters yesterday in 45 minutes. Whole chickens are done in just under an hour. Here is a video: ua-cam.com/video/UQyroLZJWLg/v-deo.html

    Is a 14.33# turkey too tight to do with spacer ring ? ( I don't have directions to know the max #. Someone said put in the very bottom of bowl without a rack or pan. It will be pretty high even cockeyed some

    • @ckiefer.0459

      I'm not sure what the max would be, but I think 14lbs would be too big. I'd be willing to guess 10-12 is pushing it

    Is it normal for the oven to,turn on & off every 5 second or is it faulty?

  • @dkeith45
    @dkeith45 7 років тому +1

    Question: Does your ovens light click off and on as it's cooking? Mine comes on when the unit calls for heat, and turns off when it comes up to temp. Was just wondering if mine is normal?

    • @ckiefer.0459
      @ckiefer.0459  7 років тому +1

      Yes, the light cycles on and off. It's how the heat is regulated.

      That’s what I was thinking. I have a double oven and the bottom one is convection. Aldi’s has a convection oven similar to this one right now for $25 that I was thinking about getting to do smaller items to keep from firing up my big oven.

      After the meat has been cooking, when the time is right for those particular vegetables you add them in. Example add sweet potato chunks when there is 20-30 min left. Hope that helps :)
