The pole itself is a monopod for camera use which I custom mounted to the bike to get the angle. I will make a video about that pole later and post it up. Thanks for viewing!
The GoPole is mounted on the pillion footrest area and can extend up to 180cm (6 feet), for complete view as seen in this video it's at full extension. I would say it's about 4 feet away from the tail of the bike.
If you want something that have long tire life and good in the wet, PR3 should be good, but that tire seems quite easy to get punctures, so be careful where you are riding on. As I mentioned before, I use Angel STs and they seem fine for my use, daily and twisty rides.
Stock tires that come with the bike will usually last about 10k kms for Er6, if not mistaken. Personally I have not used PR3, but the feedback from friends that have used it are mixed. Some say they like it, some don't. Fact is PR3 has long durability (thread life) but seems a bit too prone to get punctures. Some claim it to be great on wet road, but some disagree. I would say it's an OK tire if you want long life.
Price difference between them is minor, I believe PR3 cost a bit more. I don't know the exact price as it is depending on tire size and usually cost less if you change as a set (front and rear). Best to survey for the best deal.

Those views are too mainstream using standard mounts, was trying something different.
The Hero3 has a short battery life. Definitely will not be enough power to record. Video file size depends on your setting.
