Friday bonus video! Whoop whoop! Somehow I got on a roll this week so here's an extra video.... Fixing a broken nail 😆 Turning that frown upside down with a sprinkle of ASMR ✨✨ I've been talking about showing how I overlay my nails with gel for a while. This is the same method but with a little extension as well. It's a more relaxed, faster paced affair with background noise. So if that's your thing, I hope you like it! Not only is this super relaxing, but I've learned a new way of doing my nails. How neat!! I love this video!
I have always been curious of how you strengthen your nails. You've said before you use gel but to actually see it done was very interesting. I have been growing my nails out and they are at a length I like but I don't know how to keep them safe from cracks and breaks. I'm a real nail novice lol barely can paint my nails! I'm going to have to look up the gel and give it a go. You are my nail-spiration! The reason I've been working hard to keep my nails nice! Would love to see more of your nail techniques :)
Yes!!! apply a layer of gel and you will harden them so they don't break...... apart from if you go camping :-P

I watched this just on my phone without headphones and nodded off a few times. I don't know what it is about watching people do little tasks like this that's so relaxing. And all the house sounds and daily life sounds remind me of when I took lots of afternoon naps!

Lovely relaxing video, and very informative as well! I've never been too sure about gel nails as until watching your video I didn't really understand the process of using the forms so I always go for acrylics. Might have to try gel extensions in the future!

When you were rattling off the list of outdoor sounds, I was nodding along, thinking: "Yep, I totally get that." Then you mentioned chickens and I spluttered out my coffee all over the keyboard. Not what I was expecting! As relaxing and lovely as always - and sometimes I prefer to have the daytime noises as it makes it more realistic and comforting (i.e. less staged!). xx
I use tips and paint gel polish over the top, works great :) last for about 2 weeks, too!
So, do you not have to use anything to build up the edge between the artificial nail tip and your natural nail? Does the gel polish fill that part? I'm very interested in your technique if you don't mind elaborating a little. Thank you so much :)
+Lisa WW the Dutch channel Beautygloss has a video about it! It's called something like "Goedkoop lange nagels zonder acryl". She speaks Dutch, but if you watch carefully, I think you'll get what she does!

Lisa WW personally, no. because gel is thicker than polish, and because the edge of the tips are thin/can be filed down to be thinner, the gel works just fine for me :)

So excited to watch this. I'm not ready to get sleepy yet, but I HAD to click when I saw that you'd uploaded this one. I used to watch soap making videos for my ASMR needs, and this feels so similar to what I used to get out of those videos. A mundane task made beautiful!
I should have to said, "to FINISH watching this." 6 minutes in and I knew I had to wait until later because I still have work to finish.

Now this is a very good idea!! I want to keep growing my natural nails and i love having some length to them. Thank god I still have my dual nail forms. I loved this video Emma. I loved that it was so simple. Just your soft voice and a little bit of "noise". I love when there are some silent parts. Constant tapping or whatever is an overload to me. Really relaxing video. P.s...love that you're a girly girl and a camper too. :)
Background noise, unless super loud, is soothing to me. No worries.

Impressive Job! I have started using the SNS Powder to Gel Polish. love It! I am a nurse. so , I use my hands a lot. The gels were too fragile for me. The SNS Powder is the best product that I have found thus far.

that's really interesting! at first i was confused as to how it forms a shape from the dual form from a gel like liquid and then i saw how it works that's amazing! i love any video to do with nails as i'm obsessed with painting my own nails haha and this video is really relaxing to watch love this video! :D I will be watching this again for sure :)

That's never 30secs. Did you edit the curing out? The video runs so seamlessly I can't see when you might have edited that bit out.

It's 2 minutes with a UV lamp, but 30 seconds with an LED lamp
UV lamps are different than LED lamps for curing Gel. LEDs are usually 30 seconds, and are more powerful than UV bulbs. 2 minutes with an LED lamp would be overkill
Everyone edits out the curing process. If you do gel nails or know anything about them you would know the curing times for UV/LED lamps.
