The implications of this presentation are rich and extensive. Decolonisation starts with the African individual learning to approve self on an African basis(an African sense of self worth) rather than seek approval on Western terms. The African individual needs to be educated, to have awareness of his or her Africanness and of the space it has in this world so does all other ethnicities. This further progresses on to that African individuals together can bring liberty to each other if they so decide to work as a team. Such an idea was once dreamt of, and it can still be ignited ablaze. African leaders, all Africans should realise this and surely Africa will be great!

i agree 1000% of what the eloquent speaker put to light. i would encourage African brothers and sisters to first and foremost love, learn and respect each other's culture, diversity, and history and perhaps prefer to travel and visit African countries as opposed to Europe and Americas. my favorite country to vacation is Rwanda where it remains the only country with free visa to Somali Passport holders. this matter should be discussed in dinner tables and classrooms alike as the speaker noted.

she was amazing , she was able to open my eyes to see the difference of how the world views Africans and how Africans view themselves. being of African descent but of british born i was able to understand that people see you differently due to the privilege I have it hurts me to hear my family in Nigeria go through similar experiences to this and that coming to the uk is a stressful experience. I pray that maybe i could use the opportunities I have to make a change because this injustice can not last forever
Charity begins at home. Excellent presentation my African sister.
I only came here to listen to someone who gets to have 5 O's to start their name. I'm jealous.
😂😂😂😂
I wish I could summoned the strength to be empowered by your speech, but all I feel is sadness, knowing things aren't about to change anytime soon. I love you for saying what you have said.
One thing is patently clear: She is firing on all cylinders! Bless her and others like her! I hope my children grow up to be as intelligent as she is. I hope I can be as useful for Africa as I have dreamt I would be.
OMG, you're describing the same frustration and anger I feel when I have to deal with Ghanaian officials. It's simply embarrassing that they can't do a simple thing, without overcomplicating things. 200 years back in time. My top 3 worst countries for airport is Israel, Germany and Ghana.
Ghana?!
EU immigration is a nightmare for African passport holders.
As a German I have to tell you that German bureaucracy is unreasonably extensive
. Everybody suffers here from too many laws and regulations.
Wtf would you want to go to israel? Better stay out if you melanated. They’ve flown past SA in terms of open air bigotry
This is a great argument submitted by Ms. Adepo. All African leaders should see this.
This is 2 years since this talk and I was pleasantly suprised when I visited Kenya that I did not need a visa to enter the country as a South African but would require to pay a visa fee as an America. I think that this is progress in the right direction.

It's worse for Africans in South Africa.
@@mikamwambazi3807 I agree. There's some catching up.
This is what we need in Africa. Young and enlightened leaders that will push the continent forward....
She is beatiful.
But that is not the point
Was just gonna express her beautiful glowing Blackness only to see you complement. God bless
A msg dela é mais.
por que não? She is although I like my women with natural hair! Not European styles But she on point and doing it!
@@ubeydwarsame7766 you must be white
Rise up and Unite great Africa, “mother to all races!” It’s your turn to take control of your own destiny, your own future, your own land. As a powerful, people, rise up, unite and become ONE, unstoppable force-ONE-unstoppable-NATION! 👀💰👍🏽
Her intelligence empowers me...🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
She's awesome! She should be in office in one o the countries in Africa.
Beautiful, graceful, elegant, intelligent and well connected with the reality of her world and my world. I love girl . You spoke what was in my heart for so long. May God Bless you. I went through exactly what you have experienced and was not sure how to speak about it without becoming upset about it... I always said to myself when I am faced with the idiotic and brainwashed immigration officer around the worl “ I wish if I could show this people how proud I am to be of an African origin and I wish there was a way to express and show them what I thought of them during those moments...wow!
Thank you I feel relieved you have said it all.
Africa unite!
Africans respect one another!
The whole Truth, I carefully listened to every lines and it just sit on me, how messed up we -as Africans are towards ourselves and until we stand up this continues. Wow, best spoken and best view have seen recently. Just everything I need to hear
Wow. Solid presentation on travel restriction and discrimination - even within Africa itself. Never cease to amaze me how calm and collected these influencers are during a TED talk!
This is a very good conversation to have first in Africa then the rest of the world will begin to listen. Bless you Ooooota.
She's a good storyteller.
Stunning beauty with brains i wish such speeches should be held at AU heads of state meetings..
Gurrrrl this video needs more views
@Sam Houston yes it does

WOW !! This woman is smarter than any African leader. she shows leadership.
So beautifull this is time for Africa...Thanks
It is so strange that I met this lovely woman on a random night in NYC. She carries herself like a queen but is so welcoming and open to everyone. Great work Ooooota and thanks for sharing your life with others. :D
I feel that people in the comment negotiate her beauty more than the conversation she is holding. But what to do, she is quite eye catching truly. 🖤🖤🥰
Oh my God. Please can you take this massage to all the school and house of representative in Africa.
She oozes of confidence.
Wonderful authentic and conscious African Woman
She is beautiful and intelligent 💯
I am here mainly because I watched the thought 💭 provocations speech of Mallence Bart Williams .The way she articulated her stories of travels is so detailed. I totally enjoyed watching this video.
amazing talk...its a very important conversation that needs to happen among africans
I love her vibe & spirit. Her voice makes her words sing. I think the loyalty to the colonizers & propaganda from them have taken the power away from Africans for so long, Africans can't see beyond the horizon.
Africa still has its shackles and self-bias. Africa needs self-love, self-acceptance and her people will return and prosper.
People are coming back
I wish this lady to be a leader ......or a President...........your awesome 👌
Thanks Adepo for the enlightening talk.
Watched her speech and Mallence Williams agree fully. Read a few days ago that there are talks about having an African Passport for Africans to travel to countries in Africa without visas. I think someone heard her. Well done
i agree 1000% of what the eloquent speaker put to light. i would encourage African brothers and sisters to first and foremost love, learn and respect each other's culture, diversity, and history and perhaps prefer to travel and visit African countries as opposed to Europe and Americas. my favorite country to vacation is Rwanda where it remains the only country with free visa to Somali Passport holders. this matter should be discussed in dinner tables and classrooms alike as the speaker noted.
Bold n beautiful ,pray more n more amazing soul like you fight the injustice done by people with power n status. Thank you, bless you. All your dreams come true.
God bless you young lady for hitting the nail on the head.
What an eloquent young lady ❤
"When differences in Nationality are used to determine which people have more of a right to see the world, a systemic abuse of moral authority occurs." ... Ooooota Adepo
Very articulate and intelligent. The problem of Africa is caused by Africa and until we do something about it, the world will not take us serious
On behalf of all the Ugandans, I apologize.
Same here
So do I.
so do i
Aye aye.
Wabula, and am sure it was arrogant banyankore 🤦♀️
She is beautifully intelligent...she should be plenipotential Ambassador of the U Africa!
Well done sister 👏👏👏

I’m looking to start a small group of like minded African people to think about ways we can give back to Africa

Count me in whenever you are set to start.

I'm interested. Please let me know when you start.
She nailed it by not shifting blame
Love her. I making Africa great!
