I must address you, Q, when you say that we are silly to hope for reparations bcuz America will never give up $$. Imagine working to abolish slavery. You might have said that it was silly to think that plantation owners would risk their wealth and livelihood by letting go of their slave labor...yet they finally did. You might have said that it was silly to think that the city of Montgomery would buckle under the pressure of a boycott and allow blacks to sit where they wished...yet they finally did. From the abolition of slavery to the right to vote - great things seem impossible...until done.
