Blue: "I'm glad that they didn't shove a random love-triangle drama plot within four episodes of the finale, because that would be a pretty stupid decision."" *[Glares at Star Vs]*
It's good that they made Enid and Red Action's relationship casual cause there's no need to make some big fanfare about gay relationships, the only difference between gay and straight couples is the genders of the individuals! Honestly I feel that the only orientation that should be given more attention is asexual/aromantic, cause just because someone isn't in a relationship at the time doesn't mean they're looking for one. I myself am ace/aro and from the shows I watch my only representation is Peridot (which is amazing on its own) but it's an orientation that often gets thrown under the bus and forgotten
Yea I feel like there should be more TV characters that are asexual and/or aromatic especially since most people don't fully understand what being aroace means and I didn't even know that Peridot was asexual the only fictional character that I know is asexual is Alastor so I find that Peridot being ace is pretty awesome I have a best friend that is aroace so she kinda influenced some of my characters in the book that I've been writing and I hope that in the future there could be more LGBTQ+ characters in shows that aren't just quer
So, there was once a spin off of Jimmy neutron called planet sheen, and there was a green blob that was literally just Karl, design and personality wise, so the end edit makes a lot more sense than it should
I have always liked that at 10:10 the text states that Shadowy has overtaken venomous, it really implies that it was in a similar way to KO getting overtaken by TKO.
I feel like Venomous _did_ try to get rid of Shadowy and got his assed kicked, or he was convinced to join forces but "Shadowy Figure has overtaken Venomous" makes me lean towards the first. Also the tear on Boxman's face at the end hurts my heart, my OTP ;-;
One of the things to remember is TKO is basically his own being a split from KO and KO suppresses him all the time so it reasonable for TKO want to take over KO. Judging from their conversation KO never talked to him about TKO still being upset about shadowy figure and his creation.
Also, the episode that is arguably one of the most intense episodes of the series is called Carl. Think about that. Double Also, the reaction from the Tko part in Carl all the way to when Dendy gets the Boxbots to help has more shock and horror than your Fragments reaction.
Blue: so we got 3 regular episodes before the finale Me: yeah... regular... 😅 But in all honesty your reaction to these was priceless, especially to carl and dendy's channel which by the titles may have seemed fun and innocent. Can't wait to see your reaction to the finale!!! *Next stop - the plaza tournament*
Also can we just appreciate the reverse Steven universe move they pulled with these episode names? Remember when we were all hyped for hit the diamond and it turned out to be the gems play baseball and hijinks ensue? Yeah the two most crucial turning points in the series happen in episodes named CARL and DENDY'S VIDEO CHANNEL. You gotta love that shit
@@unu9651 in terms of knife twisty gut punchy trauma? God I think Steven takes the cake but K.O comes close. In terms of most oh shit moments? I actually think K.O has this one because Steven has the really big one that kinda overshadows any of the smaller ones, but for K.O you can tell something is wrong with P.V about halfway into the episode, and the pressure keeps building until it's one big oh shit moment after the next, for the last like two minutes of the episode, all at once. ...sorry, you probably didn't actually mean analyze the episodes.
@@tomsparrow1823 No I actually meant analyze the episodes >:) And yeah you're right. Both of them are the episodes that finally cash in on series mysteries and tension, but SU was all about Rose and Pearl and finally getting a straight answer, traveling through layer after layer of this character we've been with since the beginning to understand Pearl and Rose, arguably the person the series is about. Carl is the episode where everything goes wrong at once. Shadowy Figure comes back and is lying to KO and us the whole episode, the horrifying goo comes back at as a cute monster that turns into a big one (who this episode isn't actually about), TKO comes back and semi-righteously kicks KO's ass for putting him in gay baby jail, and Shadowy Figure and TKO team up. It's fascinating because Carl marks the true shift into the endgame, the attempt to settle into one new status quo (shared custody, maybe I can learn about TKO, Rad and Enid defeating Carl) but then upending the whole board. Like A Single Pale Rose, practically everyone in the audience knew the big twist, had been expecting it for months if not years, and it was played mostly straight but still completely wrecked the equilibrium of the show. And it's! Pearl's "I've wanted to tell you for so long" vs Shadowy's "Join me. We are the only people who accept each other"! It's about connection with other people and how nobody's keeping secrets anymore and dealing with the fallout. Carl has tension build across the episode and is cashing in on both recent reveals and the relationships built up throughout the series, while ASPR has the tension built up throughout the series and is almost anticlimactically (in the sense that there's no yelling) cashing in on mystery and things finally settling into place. If you thought yours was long, well look out, I've been thinking about these shows for literal years. :)
@@xnortheast1106 I'm aware and I agree. Still, it's not crazy to think that two shows airing on the same channel and made by two people who literally married each other would have a similar idea such as the generic concept of naming an important episode something that sounds like filler. Other than that, OK KO and SU are very different, even if Garnet does draw parallel between KO and Steven in the Crossover Nexus episode. In fact, as cute as it is that KO reminds her of Steven, I think they're very different protagonists even if the starting point is similar. (optimistic and slightly naive kid who just wants to be a hero and loves his mommy). The directions they naturally evolve to are vastly different. Still, the similarities are interesting and I think reflect how two people who know and are close to each other while they work on their respective shows can influence each other while still making distinctly different things.
Here’s something I love about Red Action 3. As you may have noticed, the show went through a small change in its art style in Season 3 (the colours got more saturated, something along those lines) and I love that they went back to the old style for the flashbacks to events in Season 1.
*THANK YOU* FOR SAYING THAT If there's one thing I hate in shows is when 2 characters get together simply because, _"one boy, one gurl, they must get together!!!!"_ , when most of the time there's little to no chemistry between them, or when there are better options to go with.
When I first saw the title of Dendy's Video Channel I genuinely though "Oh come on right after that hell we're just going back to the regularly scheduled happy fun times" *_boy was I wrong_*

All good series must come to an end, unfortunately. But hey, at least you get to rewatch it and just feel good seeing the characters again. It's what I do when I miss a show I love.
It's been a while since I've seen the finale of OK KO, but honestly it still hurts. This show had so much charm to it. More than it seems so many people give it credit for. I really do wish it wasn't cancelled. How many things would have been fleshed out, handled, and just ultimately delivered? Still, they do a great job with what they can and I'm happy others enjoyed it as much as I did. Also, I really do wish we could have gotten more information on the Venomous and Shadowy situation. I really wonder how the switch took place. Was it similar to TKO and KO's situation? Or was it with more blurred lines in terms of who was more "stable"? Side Note: That totally felt like a break up between Boxman and Venomous. One keeps the house, and some of the kids. While the other leaves, and takes the other half of the kids with them. It's sad to see them part, but also cool given how it was Boxman's decision to do so. He's grown a lot through the course of this show.
Depressing how this show was actually cancelled yk literally all these episodes besides the finale arc were only meant to be season 3A The first half we were gonna get an episode about carol and SPOILER WARNING***** what she did after laserblast's "death" and before K.O'S birth
Kinda glad that the special finale trailer wasn't edited into the D'sVC episode. It'll make Blue's reaction even better. In the original airing, an edited(?) version of the finale teaser would play after the episode. This explains the auto-play video buffering after Dendy signs off. For someone who watched it all live, the hype was as real as it could get.
When KO feels extremely powerless, TKO can easily take him over and get stronger. That's actually the same situation in real life, when you really have a different personality, any time you got screwed up, that stronger personality will come out.
Y’know, watching this after binging Blue Order SUF was probably a bad idea... Double dosage of both feels and “I don’t wanna say goodbye to this show”. Because O W. I love your reactions, and am equally dreading and looking forward to the finale. ;w;
