I actually think THIS episode was a big subversion of the typical adult animated show, to. It focuses on a side character (at the time, not now) and makes it the plot of an entire episode.
This is, to me at least, the episode where things start getting serious and deep! There's no way you cannot love this show starting from this point! :)
As someone who's name is Carolyn, watching everyone misspell it and miswrite it is so triggering LOL! One day, one day, they'll all say it right. But until then, I can't wait for next week. That episode is when I realized that this show is... something else. One of my favorite shows in a long time, and this is where it starts to shine.
Missingangle Well, here's a fun fact for you. Being French, I can tell you there are no Carolyn her. The only version that exists is Caroline. So to me that's the only way to write it. As a future Bojack character likes to say: Biel with it! :D
15:10 Something I only recently noticed about that book in this episode: Anyone else feeling like it's kinda messed up that this fictional world of anthropomorphic animals have zoos? I mean, I just... what are they for? Why would a world like that have zoos?
Araani M Yeah, I know about Becca! lol But that episodes explain feeding in that world. It's one of people (and animals) basic need. I can understand that. But zoos? The world doesn't really NEED zoos, so the concept of their existence is, in my opinion, even more messed up than the Becca thing
ChevaliersEmeraude a zoo in the Bojackverse could just be an exhibition of animals that are in a less anthropomorphized state/in need of rehabilitiabition
I love this episode not only because they ramped up the dignity in the writing, but also because you can actually watch it as your first episode, and they give you all these little hints and pieces of what happened in the previous six, so even if you're not up to speed, you can get what's going on.
Semi-important message here: There is a Bojack Horseman episode that is not part of the main serie. It's a Christmas special, and it's not among the list of episodes on Bojack Horseman, it's somewhere else on Netflix! Now, the episode itself is not at all part of the main serie, it doesn't follow the continuity, and thus can be watched at anytime, but it's been made at the end of season 1, and since you're close to that, I figured I'd tell you guys, if you want to react to it! Again, it's not necessary, it's just a Christmas special and all! But I figured you should know, and decide yourself what you want to do with it! :)
3 things. 1.) I spy Secret Hitler in the background! Nice! 2.) It's Carolyn. Pronounced "Care-o-lin." Not Caroline. 3.) Remember that phrase "the best thing that's ever happened to me." It will be relevant later.
FrakkinToaster Luvva "Better" is just so subjective, but I hear what you're saying. I enjoy(ed) both LOST and GoT better, but the writing for BoJack is better (partially because it's a cartoon and can do literally anything)
6:48 - "Man, Bojack really is a horrible person." Dude, we're seven episodes in and you're just getting that now? "At least he remembered her favorite movie." Low, low, standards. Just how he likes 'em.
I'm watching this reaction (and yes, I am late to it) and I find myself annoyed with some of your reactions. This is only because that I have seen the whole show and have gained more empathy for Bojack Horseman. I can understand the fact that yes, indeed, Bojack can tend to be rude, but Bojack has more depth as well. Now I really enjoy your reactions, and I am continuing to watch them as you are reading this, but I got annoyed at this specific part; When Princess Carolyn calls Bojack at the end of the episode about the special role offer and Bojack clearly acted like something was up. He used as little words as possible, an attempt to get off the phone sooner, and he just didn't have it in him to try at that moment due to some ill news. Y'all kept sighing and getting mad at Bojack and I understand at other points but when he was acting wierd, you didn't take notice fast and kept rolling your eyes at him while I questioned what was up. Again, I love your reactions and I'm just ranting over some pathetic thing.
to be fair, PC just spent her fortieth birthday trying to get him a job. Even the director said the point of this episode was to portray BoJack as an unequivocal asshole to some of the most important people in his life.
This episode is literally the Tipping Point into sad boy city
AKA the tipping point into real quality.
@@Anixander6230 Oh yeah, so true.
Season 6 has me upset because of how happy it is and how we know it’s going to turn
a tip : you can watch movies at Flixzone. Been using it for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Orlando Wesley Yup, I have been watching on flixzone} for since december myself :)
6:48 "Bojack really is a horrible person" oh man, we're not even started yet
I have 2 words that will prove it, seventeen minutes.
Oh! ... so we're seeing "that" episode next time.... this is when things get deep for this show.
It's 1x11 for me.

The people writing this show have way too much fun making Amy Sedaris say tongue twisters.
Lenny Turtletaub is voiced by JK Simmons (also Tenzin) so it's funny hearing him on this show while watching Korra 😂
John Nino ikr
Omg, I didn't know that and it makes this that much better!
Felt the same way but with Gravity Falls. He voices Ford.
I don't think anything can be funny while watching Korra. Not if you remember Avatar, anyway.
@@existenceisrelative oof
Colbert was the frog, the old one, the boss. father of the treefrog intern.
gerbenvanessen
Man, the intern is one of my favorite characters. "My hands are all sticky..."

Oh, really? Well, the more you know! :D Still, I can't help the small part of me thinking "IT'S CAROLYN YA BUMS!" but hey, I think I'll live ;)
15:10 Something I only recently noticed about that book in this episode: Anyone else feeling like it's kinda messed up that this fictional world of anthropomorphic animals have zoos? I mean, I just... what are they for? Why would a world like that have zoos?
There's a season 2 ep that elaborates on the differences between animals
*Season 2 episode 5 spoilers:*
Same reason why _Becca_ exists, I suppose: it's an _extremely_ fucked up world. :/
Araani M Yeah, I know about Becca! lol But that episodes explain feeding in that world. It's one of people (and animals) basic need. I can understand that. But zoos? The world doesn't really NEED zoos, so the concept of their existence is, in my opinion, even more messed up than the Becca thing

ChevaliersEmeraude your comment made me die with
They do kinda explain it latter on
i wish i had friends so i can watch bojack together like them
next episode... all abord the depresion train... its gona be a 3 and a half season ride

Have you guys noticed the intro changes frequently depending on the events of that episode?
the saddest moment is when princess caroline tells bojack she sometimes imagines her grand daughter telling a story about her.. that broke me!
yeah that is from last season right? i think, but damn It almost made me cry
@@lalocuellar3041 Nope it's from Season 4

I love the cozy 4 and navi group.
I get the chills in that ending. Really.
Charlie Witherspoon is voiced by the creator and showrunner of the show, Raphael-Bob Waksberg.
Now it’s going to get darker
Impossible by Lyla Foy...this episode made me cry the first time.
This chapter made me love P. Caroline
that's where Bojack really begins
Amazing show.
The next episode is where the dark episodes begins
This shows so weird but I'm starting to really like it lmao XD
LadyVenom Way only gets really good in the finale, and then the quality doesn't dip for the rest of the series.
My favorite show
Because I watched it 2 weeks ago lol
bojack cries patreon
8:58 I literally thought someone was knocking on my wall.
could somebody tell her the charackter is called princess carolynn not caroLYNE. every episode...

God I love this show
Colbert was the old frog
It's an incredible series, it's my favorite depressant.
Hugs from Nicaragua!
heheheh. Next episode. That's when it becomes Bojack Horseman.
Stephen Colbert played Mr Witherspoon
"Thank you for freshed squeezed milk, but no."
What do ppl think they're drinking when they drink milk? 🤔
Cozy 4 + Navi = S2
next episode to me is when the show takes off
Steven Colbert was the voice of Mr. Whitherspoon, Princess Carolyn’s boss.
Sometimes I worry that Navi explains too much during this show... but then I remember it's just BoJack. It's not LOST or Game of Thrones lol
BoJack is a much better show than those two. (And I say that as a Lost fan.)
FrakkinToaster Luvva "Better" is just so subjective, but I hear what you're saying. I enjoy(ed) both LOST and GoT better, but the writing for BoJack is better (partially because it's a cartoon and can do literally anything)
Damn, next episode is da shiiiiit! Do it earlier pleaaaaase
Spoiler Alert: Charlie eventually becomes a huge success. By the end of Season Three he’s started his own agency.

"At least he remembered her favorite movie." Low, low, standards. Just how he likes 'em.
NOW EXPLAIN THE INTRO CUZ THEY CHANGE A BUJCH LIKE HOLLYWOOD TO HOLLYWOO
Quentin Tarantulino 😂
*Tents fingers*

Did Micky and Navi broke up?? they seat appart now..
