Yeah, I bought Intolerance on vinyl and cassette in 1989 or 90...Great record. Did you know Grantg introduced this song for the Candy Apple Grey sessions? Bob shot it down and he concedes in his book that this is where their real tension began. Bob agrees now that this is a great song and he was wrong...Saw Nova Mob twice in the early 90's. Grant was great as front man I thought...Husker Du - best band ever to bless these ears.
Really? Seems like you might be wrong. Either that or Bob Mould is. This from the Village voice - 'An integral moment in the book that you say was the beginning of your strained relationship with Grant was when he brought the song "2541" to the New Day Rising sessions. The end result was you rejected the song and he didn't take that very well.' Bob - 'I just pointed out that it sounded an awful lot like a Dream Syndicate song that was sorta popular at the time. That's a real regret'
Oh? Warner Brothers made the single decisions for Candy Apple Grey, not Grant, something that obviously made Bob fume even more I would imagine. As for '2541' not fitting into into New Day Rising - even though you and Bob may think this, it didn't stop Bob breaking down Celebrated Summer for a bit of acoustic guitar did it? It was probably Bob being Bob and throwing his weight around, people can blame Grant for all kinds of things, but it seems like Bob started his pyschic warfare pretty early.
Oh Grant. I miss you.
Miss Grant Hart every single day
Great sounding geetarrrr
Grant we love you...
I had this E.P. on cassette in High School and I loved it. Always preferred his voice to Bob's.
Another lovely performance! Thanks again, Phil.
Great. Just saw Grant in the Replacments doc that is doing showings. He looks and sounds awesome here.
Obrigado Grant pela sua música

I thought it was during the New Day Rising sessions, but Candy Apple Grey makes more sense.

Seems odd it wasn't re-considered for Flip Your Wig, though.
He looks very unwell these days.
Is that pink guitar a Gretch?
Epiphone
J-F Pilote: Thanks for that clarification!
