@@Tendee I don't like the endgame board, it's all cheap plastic. The polar is aluminum. They usually go on sales near holidays or special events. So maybe memorial day May 27th
Genuinely confused about your assessment about wooting vs polar 65. Everything you've said was "wrong" with the wooting are all optional and completely consumer desired. Lets talk about what you claim: $120 for new switches $120 for metal case $20 for foam $40 for lube kit and tools With hours of work for that. Metal cases for the wooting are around $60 and completely optional. Wooting doesnt need new switches, another optional consumer choice. Foam is optional. Lube kit and tools, that polar 65 will need it eventually too, every keyboard has to be relubed at a point. And a lot of keyboard lovers will lube a stock keyboard even if they do a good job at lubing it already. Also cant ignore the wooting sound test clip you have on here, sounds very underlubed. Could be a poor job on it but most people on reddit say the stock lube is great, but like i said many people will lube a new keyboard for preference including the polar 65. My wooting sounded better than any keyboard ive owned out of the box. Was very quiet and switches sounded great similar to the polar 65 sound test you provided. Must have been a faulty wooting or just over exaggerating the typing. And last for the wobbly switches, no clue what you mean by that. Ive taken apart my switches and opened up my keyboard and never noticed that. You either had got the worse wooting ever made, dont own one and just want to talk down on it for its price, or work for this company to praise this so much. The only thing this polar 65 keyboard has better would be the metal case and thats only if you prefer a metal case which many dont care for like me.
we are talking about quality here... the switches still wobble... go watch any wooting video and everyone as well as I says it sounds bad and wobbles... the issue isnt that you care or not, the issue is the price.... FOR THE PRICE,,, you expect a high quality, NO wobble, metal case, good sounding keyboard... wooting clones cost $20-$40 to make without the good software.. the second u make it metal, it shoot up to 50-80 and full cnc is like 90-120 depending on design... the fact the wooting is charging close to $200 shipped for overall low quality is the issue... Wooting is THE BEST in terms of speed, latency, software, etc.... but the actual board quality is terrible. keycaps are thin, and EVERY review on YT says the keyboard has bad stem stability and sound FOR close to $200.... my argument with polar 65 is that you cant, not #1 preforming, but really dang close comapred to the 60he (wooting 80he is way better),,,,,, and you get a good quality board in terms of feel... so while its not the #1 performance or #1 looks (IMO boog takes that) its a good 2nd place in both categories for $115-$155 compared to $190 and $200
Is the rapid trigger and actuation better than the wooting? I recently got into valorant and ive been looking for a good board, but the wooting is too expensive
So when you say better, I assume you're talking about pure latency. And no, nothing beats wooting in terms of latency... But that's where these companies shine, it's almost just as good and the actual quality and feel of the board is way better than the wooting. Wooting: Bad case Wobbly switches Bad sound No foam Bad keycaps #1 speed Polar: Great metal case Stabilized switches that come lubbed Great creamy and thock sound Double layer of silicon for sound Great dye Sub pbt keycaps Great latency, just not the best
You won't really notice if you don't have any experience with Wooting. Wooting has the best implementation of rapid trigger/hall effect because that's their main focus. All their software and internals are exclusive to their brand and doesn't appear anywhere else (as opposed to Polar65 which is used in other various HE boards)
what about the deadzone on polar keyboards where the rapid trigger releases at more of like a .4mm than true .1mm. i loved this board but the fixed deadzone on it (even changing it on software) killed it for me
yep 337 € for a keyboard is a real deal lmao....189€ + 129(aluminum case) and 19€ fast shipping.... and it comes to you in a month and also the sound sucks
Huh? To make a wooting feel and look good you need to spend upwards of $200 and 5 hours of your time lubeing switches.... $120 for jade switches $120 for a case $20 for foam And $30 for lube and kit 6hours lubeing and 2 hours taking apart every thing and putting it back. Oops forgot the switch opener, $10 Then you have a good wooting, and yes it's the best after you dump your money into it.

No, if you check their post they worked together with those people to use the keycaps. It's not a clone or rip off, it's the legit keycaps and they worked together on the board
It does have continuous rapid trigger, it also has less latency than both the Lamzu and EGG. Lamzu also has silicone keycaps and yellow. Higrounds firmware is one of the worst and until they update it it's bad.. That being said this isn't a comparison video testing all of them. In the US the Polar 65 is best hall effect board you can currently buy without sacrificing on quality. Everyone can have the same PCB but firmware is what determines how good/fast the board is. Also switches?? Only the boog75 is using the same style of switches... Gotta look at the bigger picture and see what product is the best at it's price point
EGG and Polar65 (and I think Higround as well) are using same board while Lamzu seems to be using DrunkDeer board. Personally I would not recommend Polar65 nor its clone (like EGG) because of their weird rapid trigger implementation - rapid trigger works for quick deactuation but it does not work for reactivation (is that called continuous rapid trigger?). For example if I have initial actuation point set to 2mm and rapid trigger on 0.1mm, I can press the key to 2mm, activate it, then lift 0.1mm, it deactivates and then to reactivate I have to press again by 2mm, pushing activation point almost to the bottom - that's really frustrating if you lifted by mistake. That's something I feel in game and it can be quite frustrating. I don't have that with neither Wooting, DrunkDeer, Akko, Redragon nor Boog75, only with Polar65 and its clones (like EGG). For this sole reason I would not recommend this board over others I mentioned. And I have updated firmware in my Polar65 like 2 days ago - still the same thing, I simply cannot configure it the way I like it with other boards. I'm not saying it's bad, but if I'm looking for pure rapid trigger performance and customization, this board is not even close to the top of my list.
