Netflix didn't played me. I switched to torrents few years ago, when they started sky rocketing their prices. I don't understand the people that will glad be pushed over all the time by Netflix
idk if this is also for other countries or not but just in case it isn't i think Netflix knew these shit won't fly in India like paying more if you want to watch on pc or tv so here the Netflix subscription is $2.5 per month and it gives you access to watch Netflix on all devices
I'm pretty sure I read that that article didn't take into account the losses that were happening at the same time, as well as didn't show the number of people who left before that.
Not nearly as much as new accs for sure. Only shared accounts (people paying halfs) would actually cancel in decernable numbers. The 300k new accounts are definitely not in this catefory, obviously, since they still got the subscription
I stopped using it and a lot of people I know did too. I’m betting it’s the older generations that care more about it. I’m more curious how many more accounts quit than normal
My question is even though there plan had worked why not just be a better company and give a better service? make a service people actually want, make shows that are actually enjoyable and entertaining instead of cracking down on the supposed illegal sharing of passwords.
That's not how a vpn works. The vpn provider has to have stuff on the output ip for it to work. If it did work like that then anyone could vpn into anywhere, which is obviously not the case Now, if you're like me and you have a home OpenVPN instance, then yes. You can do that Though given it's possible for apps to detect when you're on a VPN, netflix might just ban you The easiest way to avoid that is to just cancel netflix and go back to pirating. Tribler acts kinda like Tor so you can use other Tribler users as proxies. Only people who opt-in to being an exit node are exit nodes so you don't have to worry about other people getting you in trouble
For most instances, The IP you have at home is only valid in your house (private IP), the only device in your house that has "real" IP (Public IP) is the modem/router, if you want to do it you need to VPN back into your house and see if it works (won't be surprised if Netflix has countermeasure for that). The setup is usually a bit too advanced for most users, although it's considered as easy for the nerd.
My family dropped Netflix for a completely different reason, we weren’t watching anything on them. But yeah rule change was always going to work because people will always pay more for convenience
As a military family, Netflix does not suit us. Not only do we move about every two years. There’s deployments and other in between travels that are work related. On top of that, I travel back and forth to visit family.( in different states) Netflix is not military friendly.
This is going to make it almost impossible to watch shows on the go, at a hotel, or at a cabin. Especially if you are going somewhere during the time your supposed to "log in to the home network" what do we have to plan our stuff around those days?
What i don't understand is how they make profit when in my family my uncle was paying for the UHD plan but now two houses on the cheapest plans netflix is making less money lol
Welp, there goes all the Netflix shows that were worth a fuck. Give it a couple months and not only will they have lost all the new subscribers, but hopefully over half their original subscribers as well. RIP Squid Game, Stranger Things, Cobra Kai, The Witcher, etc. Because as soon as they lose all that money, they will cancel those shows. It's really f*cked up that corporate greed of already wealthy people is going to ruin all good things. I used to think Angry Joe's Corporate Commander was a comedy, but now I realize, it's a fuckin' reality.
@anna-flora1899 damn I didn't know. They must be really hurting for money, lol. Still, I bet in 1 month or so, they'll see an exodus of non renewals when people realize there's nothing worth watching anymore.
Netflix is being EXTREMELY GREEDY! Everyone should cancel & switch to Prime! They have been doing this to Canadians since Feb of this year, & just started with the Americans. Why fix something that isn’t broken. They weren’t going bankrupt!
it's fine if your in any country that uses euros or dollars but in other countries you completely cut feed of Netflix for many people who rely on using others accounts
I’m paying for the last season of Cobra Kai and more seasons of Castlevania. Witcher is dropping Cavill so I’m expecting a lot from his replacement. There are other things that I am watching on Netflix but I don’t much care about them.
The reason why I pirate is not because I can’t afford the content. But because if I pay the same amount of money in Europe as they do in usa. Netflix should have not have the right to tell me what I should be watching or what I should have access to. I should be allowed to have the same content as the Americans and vice versa. That’s why on the high seas I can get anything I want, with the same or better quality and never with an issue.
This is true definition of "everybody is dumb" like how the heck even dumb people fall for this, I know everybody is dumb but I didn't think people be THAT dumb 💀 like how.... I feel sorry for people right now...
they even make you double pay when the primary account holder is living at someone elses house for medical/old age reasons. it is very disappointing to hear that more people are making new subs. back to my old ways I go. no one wants my money I guess. f netflix
I was going to close my account but there so incompetent they can’t get the ban to work lol… we’re all still sharing my password and the second it doesn’t work I’ll be canceling! I’m actually blown away so my idiots are paying more lol.
How many of those accounts were automatically created because of Netflix's policy to automatically create new accounts for the people who were sharing? Friendly reminder to check that you aren't paying for other people's subscriptions.
I use my mom's account which sucks for me because I'm in the military so I live all over the place and I move around a bunch... I guess Netflix doesn't account for our service members
Anybody remember when this got leaked in South America and Netflix said “don’t worry, it probably won’t happen in the US.”
Anybody remember the diffent putlocker versions?
