Hi, all, Christy here. Thanks so much for all your concern. Yes, I had a stupid, fluky accident getting off a lift at Mammoth. Possible torn MCL/ACL. First injury ever in 30+ years of skiing. Ski patrol and the folks at Mammoth Hospital took amazing care of me. Thankfully my son and husband weren't hurt, and as you see, I'm out and about in the world. Appreciate the kind words!
Speedy recovery!
Thanks Christy.
Hope you feel better soon :)
Christy Lemire, movie reviewer. A woman barely alive. We can rebuild her. We have the technology. We can make her better than she was. Better, stronger, faster.
This is so cool of you, Teddy. I'm cracking up!
Ha! Here's hoping :)
All she needs is water. Lots of water.
Wow, Christy , your flexibility is impressive, Speedy Recovery Wishes
@@nikosvaultYes, a fishbowl's worth of water!
Hope the knee gets better asap Christy, skiing injury? Very much sounds like David Leitch's best movie since co-directing the first John Wick with Chad Stahelski. Will y'all be reviewing the A24 movie I Saw the TV Glow?
Yes, next week, and thanks!
You guys are the best!
So sweet, thanks for being here!
I always love seeing you two together! I’m excited for this movie, mainly because it looks so fun as Alonso mentioned!
Hi Courtney!
Seeing a sneak of it tonight with the full intention of seeing it again. They were great together at the Oscars and then again on SNL. Wouldn't it be cool if Ryan and Emily were to become the new Tom and Meg...or whatever couple formula you used to love seeing. Can't wait!
So much chemistry. Have fun!
Oh, noooo! I haven't even seen the video, just the thumbnail. And the robocop leg tells me how the last ski trip of the season went! Ugh, I'm too old to ski. Last time I went, was in the late 90's (just before vegas took over my life for 30 years), and it was snowboarding. I came up w a good cheat on how to learn, I used ski poles 😅🤣😂 hope you got the good top shelf pain killers
Nope, just ibuprofen, but the pain's not bad. Thank you!
I take a break from UA-cam and this happens to Christy! 😮 I wish you a speedy recovery
Thank you!
Already saw this last weekend, because it opened in much of Europe early. It was kind of a welcome diversion from the usual first week of May releases we've been getting from Marvel.
It's fun, right? Glad you had a good time, too.
@@BreakfastAllDay Yeah, much more fun than I was expecting.
Now imagine a Margo Robbie Cillian Murphy action comedy 😁
Hello from Barcelona! You guys have become one of my favourite reviews channel. Love your energy, your knowledge and insight. !!
Hola a ti en Barcelona! My husband and I went there for our five-year anniversary, we loved it. Thanks for the kind words, Christy
Thanks for all the work you guys do! ❤
Thanks so much for being here, we appreciate you!
Woo hoo, can't wait. Thx you two.
Thanks Rob!
Yay! Can't wait!
Robocritic Christy Lemire, fresh from her skiing trip! I hope it doesn't hurt too much!!!!! Seeing the movie this Saturday, 😄
Thanks Larry!
I pray you have a speedy recovery! Nice review 🔥
Thank you!
Hope you feel better Christy❤
Thank you!
Omg can’t believe the movie is actually out here in the uk so I can see it same week of your reaction as opposed to the following month. Emily and Ryan did seem to have great chemistry from the trailer.
Great! You'll have to let us know what you think.
Bullet train didn’t work for me either Alonso, looking forward to this now
Hopefully this is the inflecting/inciting flick to get us a Hooper (1978) reboot but with Female Stunt Artists (Zoë Bell : Heidi Moneymaker :: Burt Reynolds: Jan-Michael Vincent)?
Seeing challengers Tuesday and hopefully this this weekend.
All good stuff!
is Lee Majors in the movie?
Oh no, the Bledsoe Hinge? What happened?
Wishing you a speedy recovery Christie! Also, do you guys think the "Tom" in the movie is a reference to Tom Cruise?
Thank you! And maybe ...
Christy did you hurt your knee skiing?
Indeed, a very stupid little accident.
Oh no! A hinged knee brace! Strained ligaments or just sore? We are two of a kind, Christy! But fortunately our injuries happened at the end of the season. Rest and get well.
Thanks, Angel. Possible torn MCL/ACL, getting an MRI on Thursday. Hope you're better soon too!
this video: das ist wunderbar
Danke!
Sounds fun! Altho even tho Emily Blunt can sing, I'd rather forget that Mary Poppins Returns exists. Looking back on it, it's worse than it seemed then.
Love you guys reviews every view I've seen about this movie all say but it's too long though I hate when the movie drags
Thanks Jarvis! Hope you'll check out our full review later today.
This looks like the kind of generic snarky action movie that Ryan Reynolds would star in, but the casting of Ryan Gosling instead totally pushes it to a weird place that actually looks fresh and fun so I'm looking forward to it!
It's actually not snarky. It's surprisingly earnest.
The crime of being a “fun movie” only…. 😂😂😂
Is this inspired by the 80s TV? Never watched that.
Bullet Train was okay, but nothing to write home about.
As an aside, has either one watched Boy Kills World, Spy x Family Code : White or The Long Game. Not the greatest movies, but all are pretty good movies.
It is indeed based on the '80s TV show.
this movie isn't tracking well.. it opened 8.7mil internationally, interested to see how it does here.
I wanna see this because it looks like a fun silly summer flick but I’m worried i’m not gonna like it. Bullet train bored me to death and i also disliked deadpool 2.
Give it a shot! It's not snarky like Deadpool 2.
so a bore then? Got it...
Not at all!
Couldn't stand it or The Idea of You. It started fun and then got tedious and Hannah Waddingham was particularly awful. Challengers was the best mainstream movie this year and it was too long and shallow.
I watched this last night here and hard disagree. It's so boring and the movie is mid. The big action sequence with the garbage truck kept cutting to innane dialogue at the karaoke lounge and bad karoake and sapped all tension from the action sequence. The movie was paced terribly in the first hour and the two leads have no chemistry. Even the bathtub scene, they kept cutting back to bad dialogue. The beach fire scene is similiarly more repetitive charmless dialogue. Everytime the movie cut to emily talking to ryan gosling... i was comatose and felt my soul leaving my body. 4/10 * it doesnt help that I'm from Sydney and the magical teleportation between various suburbs and geography is just extreme cognitive whiplash. AND.. i know its a movie, but Australia = NO guns. The idea that they're using those assault weapons out in the public and police not being aware? Sure....
Agree, that cross cutting didn't work.
Oh no, the Bledsoe Hinge? What happened?
