Your channel was randomly recommended to me, and I'm not disappointed! I've been repairing electronics for the better part of the last 10 years. Prior repair attempts always fascinate me, primarily because I like looking at the damage and trying to imagine what was going through the mind of whoever was responsible for it.
It genuinely blows my mind that whoever replaced that DIP saw how unbelievably terrible their solder joints were, saw numerous examples on the board of _what they were supposed to look like,_ and still decided "hey, it's good enough." I swear that most people aren't even aware that flux exists.
Great work on those jumpers! Out of curiosity, what kind of solder mask are you using? That stuff you've got seems to dry very quickly. I'm used to the UV curable kind, but having something that can quick dry on its own would be very handy if only to help keep a long jumper in place while I'm moving the other end around.

Why does it seem like it's in fast motion? Does the quality of flux you use matter cuz, mine smokes a lot when I put the solder tip in it.I'm soldering motor wires to a flight controller on a drone. The pads are small... lol. Thanks for the video.

Fast speed the boring bits to reduce video time. Amtech 559 Flux, old board, thin copper, low temps will smoke less. if I'm doing video cards and such with thicker multi layer boards you need the higher temps and it will smoke a lot. Thank you!
