I just realize that guitarist n drummer of bmth are kinda underrated
Oh yeah for sure dude!
Crazy underrated.
So versatile.
Their names are Lee Malia and Matt Nichols for those who wants to know. And yes, they're amazing
Lmao really you must not listen to there old stuff guitar is right up in your face in the mix
Oli takes the Spotlight all the time so 🤷🏻♂️ (also Jordan Fish) that kinda annoy me cause i love Matt
Lee is very underrated
It's crazy how good the riffs and songs are on CYB for how young they were, idk.
Nah, their new riffs are just generic and bland, and the band was popular so the melodies stuck in your head from hearing it a billion times. The old stuff is par for the course. If you played guitar back then you would've written something similar.
@@MrCholoPants3415 dude you have no clue
And for being sponsored by First Act at the time, they really got those guitars sounding good. CYB will live on forever in my mind as one of the best deathcore albums of my childhood
Zac Votruba they were sponsored by first act during count your blessings?? Bro what
The original guitarist left
I’ve never noticed the similarities between dear diary and pray for plagues before that was cool
Yeah they go together so well...
The breakdown in Tell Slater still makes me wanna freaking rage so hard. Even though I got most of my angst out it just slaps so hard.
the high pitch solo at the end always give me goosebumps the first album is such a banger and it aged preety well imo, but its almost uncanny how with each album they sound different but always hit the spot
I will... ALWAYS LOVE YOOOOU
MOVE!
Agreed
Do you realize the first album was written by a couple of teenagers?) btw, great staff, man
Man I didn't realize how much At The Gates used to be in there
Metalcore is basically At the gates with breakdowns and melodic choruses sometimes.
The entire genre of metalcore owes royalties to At The Gates and In Flames LOL.
Not all metalcore is inspired by melodeath, but yeah. That style of the genre was everywhere.
I'm just gonna say it's probably no coincidence they recorded a few albums with the same producer who did Slaughter of the Soul and the classic In Flames albums
A man of culture! ATG got me into heavy music.
Wow, most BMTH cover videos are recorded with weird tuning but this guy's equipment and skill is top notch.
Was thinking the same. Drop a#?
@@samuelcramphorn3874 drop b on their first album
@@joeisnothome yeah I know but I don't think this recording is?
@@samuelcramphorn3874 the old songs are
@@samuelcramphorn3874 some of their new songs are either in standard, drop a sharp, drop c, and parasite eve is in drop a I think
2:37 that melody is so beautiful
Btw amazing playing, subbed
To be honest, I'd want a re-recording or a re-imagination/remix of CYB, with their modern production quality like Black Veil Brides' "Re-stitch These Wounds" and maybe throw in/experiment some new addition/influences from their later works to them as well like synths from Jordan and maybe some clean vocals as well for harmonizing, making it sound like if CYB was made today. Post-Human is surely the closest inspiration we'd get to that~
You should watch the " Pray for plagues live on wembley " it sounds sooooooo good imo
There's an album tribute to that album on Spotify. Worth checking out... I can't remember who's on it. Maybe Varials or something. The whole album rips and I hadn't heard of many of the bands before.
Really not that new, but if you listen to the infant annihilator version of pray for plagues its actually pretty fire, a bit modified but really good
While CyB has a lot of cool riffs and the instrumentals are faster and more technical, I believe Post Human (actually everything since Jordan came, for that matter) is way more musical, more focused, like the songs are a whole and not a bunch of cool ideas put together. That's why now they can go softer like in Amo, heavier like in Post Human or make anything in between and it will always make sense, that's how far they've got as musicians and composers
there is a hell will always be their best album though, even though oli sounds like an emo kid
@@felixftw4702 sempiternal to me is their best
@@ams25666 sempiternal is their magnum opus but TIAH has the rawness that Semp doesn't because of the production
@@felixftw4702 I can agree with that . TIAH is still one of my favorite albums ever. Really enjoyed watching the evolution of the band since Count Your Blessings
@@ams25666 BMTH is a revolutionary band and definitely one of the best rock bands of the 21st century. i've kind of moved on from them though since their lyrics stray to the emo side more than punk. been listening to parkway drive's horizons and KWAS a lot
Man that tone sounds amazing especially during the breakdown of tell slater
One of few guitar battles where every guitarist isn't toxic to each other :DD
Cyb definitely has the heavier better riffs, but seeing them side by side shows how good Post human is.
Out of the 2 I prefer post human imo, but it's close
Dude, post human is too soft compared to cyb except dear diary
@@muhammadaliffauzan2820 this video proves that wrong. Theyre the same music if you take out the vocals. Post human just isnt a mess of random ideas chucked together
@@muhammadaliffauzan2820 the point isnt to not be soft, the point is to make genuinely good music
@@broadacresyungbuddha8388 Actually it kinda is, but in a good way. I love the versatility that post human offers
@@broadacresyungbuddha8388 CYB is basically Gothenburg-influenced riffs with breakdowns, while Post-Human is more groove-oriented... But this video really highlights how the vocals are the biggest difference, you're right there.
I like their new stuff, but their old shit is just pure gold.
I Will always say that CyB is maybe their best album along with Sempiternal, mot because maybe I'm a corekid at heart, bit because they were game changers to the whole genre
In terms of lyrics CyB is easily bottom tier. Like, even they admitted they were trying to be as edgy as possible.
They made one of the best deathcore albums just because they wanted to be edgy, that's talent
If CYB had better production it would’ve been my favorite
they should remaster cyb
Unless there's really two of you I can't imagine how much work went into this. I'm sending this video to all my friends.
Man, I feel like their new stuff is a bit groovier and diverse. I have to go give the new album another listen through cause I never picked up on the guitars and drums as much as I should have. Unfortunately, I've only seen BMTH after AMO just released, and that album is great, but one of their weakest.
yeah the new stuff is kinda similar to nu-metal in ways or just straight up butt rock, and i do prefer that sound.
First off I'm diggin the stash.
Second I'm definitely diggin that seven string you got there. Very nice 👌
Thirdly - This one is tough because I like circa 2006 and 2020 just as much as the other. On that note tho, I do think that they completely killed it with Post Human.
Thanks man! I'm torn too I think I like the songs overall more on Post Human but there are more cool riffs on their first album. But the real battle is mustache vs no mustache
@@ThomasHogue Stache bro!
Lee always has had a great ear for riffs. One of the most talented guitarists of our genoration as far as songs go. Not solos nah but really good music.
To every bmth fan, listen to the EP before the first album, still one of my favorites
I forgot how much I love old scene music song titles. Braille (For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only) is just absolutely fantastic
The original title was just "For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only", but it was printed on the album in braille!
amazing work man, to be somebody that is able to play songs from "count your blessing" means you are such a master playing
Dude ur guitar tone is sick
Count Your Blessings was pretty much an At The Gates tribute guitar wise haha
OFF THE HEEZAY is such a banger
This is sick!!!! You nailed these! Great content, I’m gonna have to give it to old bmth still tho 🔥🔥😝
Thanks! For riffs I think I agree although I do really enjoy the new songs
Man I really miss the music from the mid-late 2000's all my favorite bands completely changed. Such a different time back then..
Definitely sucks, I listen to a lot of old BMTH. Honestly I don't listen to any of their new stuff
@@eagleslayer7527 Post Human was a pretty good EP
This video deserves more attention! I just love the comparison regardless of how people take it.
Count your blessings and post human survival horror are very different but equally awesome
Nice video man, I really like metal songs with the cool guitar riffs
Both of these albums are amazing but there different type of metal genres IMO it feels weird to compare them
I can appreciate that, the new stuff is definitely more nu metal sounding and less riff based
@@ThomasHogue i agree, that's why i like their New stuff, i like nu metal 😁
Awesome video!! Great comparison style and awesome playing too :D
Honestly, I like both of their sounds. Good video!
Awesome job ! I’m a fan of both Count Your Blessings and their new album ! 🤘🖤❤️🖤
what a dope idea for a series, im in
I didn't expected that montruous riffs in the last album !!! 😱😱🔥🔥
GREAT WORK
Amazing work!!! 🔥
Man !! This...... is amazing 🤩
Amazing, good job guys.. Cheers from Indonesia🔥👌🏻🖤🇲🇨
I love this video. like, really, to hear the riffs from phsh extracted is so damn nice
Nice to see the differences but also some similarities between the guitarwork. Good video man!
I look forward to watching you hit 100K subs.
The dream! Haha
man i really love the 'tell slater-" riff. nice job there
Awesome!Im subscribed now
love the video! i wish you'd carried on with off the heezay! we missed the best part! but seriously i loved count your blessings and suicide season and i'm glad you have shown me that there are actually some decent sounding RECENT songs from BMTH as i totally gave up hope and stopped listening to anything after suicide season, king slayer sounds awesome, i shall be listening to that 'post human' album for sure!
Great vid 👌
Holy shit dude this is amazing! Instant sub!
I have the 7 string version of the schecter guitar on the left, it's an absolute monster. I'm wondering if we have the same taste because the guitar on the right is sexy as hell and I want it. Great video
great video man
i like video like this👍
keep it up man🤘🙌
I love your videos bro, keep up the hard work
You know it! Thanks for the kind words!
That was sick!
Stumbled upon your channel today. Subscribed almost immediately. You’re a damn good guitarist!
Could you please do Lamb of God video?? Oh, and Slayer! That would be awesome!
Awesome! Thank you for the kind words. Yes, LoG and Slayer are good ideas 👍
Also I love that someone else took the time to learn every song on CYB!!! Good shit dude!
good job man!
1:07 that part of Kingslayer always gets me. 🔥 I love BMTH and I love BABYMETAL 🤘🤘🤘
This video is spectacular i adore Count Your Blessings, Medusa will never fail to get me on my feet and headbang asf
Right? Loved it so much back in 2009 and I was only 12 haha. Still love it until the end of time. BMTH will forever hold a special place in my heart.
man i love that tune, great vid
Thanks!
I love CYB cause it's so technical and unique style, it's not typical deathcore riffing/tune or anything theyve got something there what made this album so good. Medusa and prey for plagues are my fav tracks from CYB album and its also impressive that they were just teenagers and theyve recorded so good deathcore album and ive tried to learn few songs from CYB album and medusa is like one of the hardest shit on this album to learn, so technical parts in the riffing. It always been my fav album from them.
*To the author of this video, great quality of sound, camera and overall production aspect. The idea of "acting" and camera being cut in the middle is not the most orginal thing and became pretty generic for recording that kind of videos, but overall amazing job buddy!*
Take me back to the Count your Blessings era of BMTH any day!!
I must say. I don't like this type of videos 'one guitarist, one band vs other band, looking on each other etc' but in your case I changed my mind. It was nice and fun to watch. Nice work, Keep going.
High praise! Thank you sir
sub'd. Excellent video sir
very very nice! I am totally subbed to your channel! :)
This sound is sick man!!!dammnn🤩🤘
Fourth time I’ve came back and watched this. You deserve more views and subscribers man keep this up!!!!
Awesome, thank you!
Great my friend!
I'm working with mix and mastering
Metalcore and all rock and metal styles
nice job!
Thanks!
Omg bro i love it so much how did u learn this?
braille has got to be one of my fav bmth riffs, its just so fucking nasty, keep up the good work man
Never heard post human but now I really want to check it out!
Talent in every inch of your fingers. Thank you for your art
You are too kind! Thank you
2:37 DAMN I wanted to hear your doublekick :(((
ur guitars are so pretty)
This one's for UA-cam's referencing. Deserve more subs.
BMTH has def released a few flops over the years, but generally speaking, they're still really good!
In fact, I am of the opinion that their EP Post Human: Survival Horror is some of the best stuff they've released in the last decade!
BMTHのすごいところは、どんなジャンルの曲でも最高のクオリティで仕上げてくること。
どの時期のBMTHでも大学好きだ!
I'm guessing there is or will be another video that includes Suicide Season? I broke my knee in the pit during that tour so it holds a special place in my heart
Os riffs continuam pesados, o que mudou foi a bateria que deixou as músicas muito mais leves
Awesome comparison! Would also die to have that downpicking technique of yours. 🤣
Haha. Too kind! Thank you
Are these 2 guys both identical twins or what? Amazing guitar playing I'm a guitarist myself and vocalist, I'm really trying to be as good on guitar like you guys. Amazing!
From the view of someone who didn’t grow up listening to BMTH: CYB seems like heavy for the sake of Heavy. Post-Human has heaviness but with a purpose and that’s the only way I can think of to describe it
How do you not have more subs
Hopefully soon! Lol
Deberias Hacer Una Instrumental Completa De Cada Canción
Me Encanta La Calidad De Sonido & Como Tocas ♥︎
No tiene gran ciencia. Son rolas sencillas
Hell fucking yes dude, so sick. CYB all day, miss those days
Классное видео, звук крутой и очень хорошо играешь :)
What kind of crime is it to have nearly 200k views on this video and so few subscribers?? Get this man the following he deserves 🤘
Count your blessings still my favorite 🤘
Still enjoy with their music.
Everyone talks about how much this band has changed musically over the years. Seems like they haven't changed fundamentally at all after watching this. 👍
you got point bro bro 😎
"Amo" is the only great change
@@gianboxmec and that's the spirit
@@felixftw4702 that's the spirit def was them trying out rock
Man their first album was 10/10! I miss old BMTH
eh
CYB was to SS as Stand Up and Scream was to Reckless & Relentless
neither were bad, but the latter has better lyrics
Your down picking technique is so good that give me anxiety
I was actually just listening to their first album today but it still hits
I miss their old stuff but their new stuff is also pretty great.
Its good to see them going heavy again.
Muy bueno estupendo saludos desde Colombia 🤗
What a nice video, he's looking himself 🎉😂❤
Holy shit you are CRIMINALLY underrated
0:43 You know the yell part for that? I did that in class when I was listening to this :’D
🔥🔥🔥
Well I'm listening bmth only since sempiternal, and I'm not such a fan of core, I was more into nu as a teenager and my teen heart just vibe more with Post Human. I'm still amazed by how their were young and yet so good for their first record
