Saw them first at a Green River Festival in Western MA where they met.Hooked!! Decided then to adopt them! This was the most magical night hitting on all the points that make a truly to be legendary band stand out...intimate, creative all ages as the sunset through the huge glass window. See them live! Unfortunately Dave no longer is with them...sorely missed.
Saw them in Shepherds Bush, London. Utterly brilliant band. Buy their albums, you won’t be disappointed. If they are playing anywhere near you, run don’t walk to see them.
Completely agree! Was introduced when they opened for Patty Griffin and have seen them several times on their own tours. They are *superb* live and their between-song banter is hilarious.
Hold Your head Up High! I cannot say that this "song" is just that. "It saved not only my day, but a very difficult passage in my life, reminding me to always move on. Part of us leaves with others, or (another Thank you very much, I carry the lyrics, the melody, the music in several days!
This band reminds me of a cross between Crosby, Stills, & Nash and Simon & Garfunkel. That is is pretty good company. I found this group via an interview by Tim Foust, bass singer for Home Free Vocal Band, who said Darlingside is a band that inspires him as a song writer and a performer.
That's why I am here too! Not disappointed at all!! These guys are great! Attended folk festivals my whole life ... this music makes me happy! Thanks @TimFoust for the recommendation!
Phenomenal. Original. Inspiring to know that a new generation is making music that will add to the continuum of creative harmonies and new melodies. Thank you, Darlingside.
I love all their shows on UA-cam but this one is particularly wonderful (you can actually hear Harris' cellowork clearly on Harrison Ford!). It's been a while since I've last seen them ... makes me realize I need more Darlingside in my life, especially these days....
Ann, agree with you, on so many things. I went back to listen to Harrison Ford both on stream & the CD. You're right, Harris' cello on Harrison Ford HERE is out there, clear as anything I've only seen them in person three times & still consider that short-shrift, LOL. Over the last few days, both because of 'Fish Pond Fish' and just in general--Darlingside has dominated my streams/feeds.
Saw them in Leicester (England) twice at the Guildhall. They rather liked the fact that the building was older th than their country. If you like them on this video you have to see them live!
The music is amazing, and I can't wait to see them for my first time at Guster's On the Ocean in August. My only problem is wit the slow pans and trucks on the camera work. With the window in the back, it can be a little disorienting.
Yes! Her now husband Taylor Ashton was the opener! She sat with us on an old car seat..so congenial. This night was truly magical! Need it on a DVD Twenty Summers please!!

Saw Darlingside in a 130 seat venue in Spring Lake, MI last year. What an intimate and awesome experience.
Just saw them at The Academy of Music. Uber-pro poets. Just bloody wonderful.

Currently listening to a fourth run-through
Just saw them again March 2023 in an indoor atrium at Longwood Gardens, Pa. Great venue and they were as good as ever!

Is this like a supergroup or something? There’s no way that these guys just randomly found each other. No fricken way!!
Does anyone know the name of the guy/ song the darling boys are singing with at 1:03:10 ???
Taylor Ashton is the musician
@@thetwentysummers please make this into a dvd...the BEST intimate concert I've witnessed Magical!
Should I feel ashamed the number of times I've watched this? The answer is quite obviously "no"

Wait is that Rachel Price in on the encore?!

Was the acoustic 6 string the fault in the opening number?
