I change the rotary switches on the right side of the range, while the panel is out , they work, when I try to put it back , just went off. Any advise. Just bought the 2 rotary switches and is not working properly.
When you say just went off, I assume you mean it doesn’t have any more power. Because on high the heating element should be red most of the time. On low it should hardly be red. Also, make sure you have the right knob to the right heating element. The knobs can’t be switched single and dual heating elements. If all that is OK, the wiring terminals got loose somewhere or the main harness connector in front control panel.
First , thank you for this video. I found a stupid fault on a similar model. I had to remove the burner top to get the control panel out. What I found, was that 3 controls had had the mounting screws come loose, leaving the controls free to rotate, and not turn on a burner. I found more loose mounting screws. i put them all back with Locktite.
I have this oven and my wife was boiling water in a glass tea pot. The tea pot shattered and spilled water all over the oven, and apparently some got into some unprotected electronics. Now the main screen does not work and the burners don’t turn on. The little red light does turn on if I turn on a burner but the burner never gets hot. Do you have any tips or things I can check?
That is not your usual repair. Sounds like an adventure. Hopefully you could find something obvious by taking the front control panel off. Remember to follow safety electrical precautions as you go to determine why the components are not functioning.
We replaced a rotary switch 6 months ago and now we have burn marks on the new switch and it's not working properly again. What could cause some burnt marks on the new switch and wire connected to the switch?
Make sure that the connectors are replaced if they’re burnt and that the connection is tight. You could use a needle nose pliers to pinch the connectors.
I have same range stove .. my problem just happened yesterday already tried to reset by turning off the breaker but none of my burners working I don’t know what the problem maybe .. stove is about year and half old warranty is gone and I’m looking to repair it
Go ahead and get your model number and go online. They’ll be a lot of vendors pop up. Look at the pictorial diagrams and find your part. Once you got your part number, you can order anywhere. Sears partsdirect.com., appliancepartspros.com., marcone.com, ect.
Did you ever get it fixed? Mine is almost doing same thing except the back right burner when on, turns on the front right burner as well. Two burners come on with one knob
Your range has a touchpad to turn on your burners. Should be a range control relay board or the main board. I have seen that from a faulty relay on the board.
@pjleary7063 I ended up figuring it out myself. Not difficult just takes a bit and helpful to have a 2nd person to help with putting the clips on that hold the burners to the glass plate. Also wear gloves because there are some sharp aluminum parts.
For the model ltel7337f , I found you have to take the glass top off to be able to get the control panel off. The control panel are has 2 screws from the top down, which are only accessible once the top is removed. To remove the top, you remove a number of screws on the back and the top back under the black grate. Then you lift from the back and slide it towards the back, so it disengages from the control panel area. Then you can access behind the panel. So for replacing the switch, once the top is off, you would not have to remove the panel at all.
@@chrisrob7276 There are a few screws around the back, near the top, that hold the entire top into place. Once removed, you lift the top from the back and then pull it towards the back so it unslots out of the front. Before that though there are a couple connectors to remove near the back. You should be able to do that when you lift the back but before you fully detach it.
If one of your burners is overheating on this range oven, it would be the infinite switch. The reason why we would unplug and plug back in it to reset the control board. The infinite, which is not a control board.
@@master15951 Disconnect power to range oven and reconnect if you haven’t done it already. Could be display board, loose or faulty wire connector, or main control board. For the model number in the video.

Appreciate you sharing your solution. I have found that to be an issue also. I think Lg didn’t make sure the screws were long enough?
Fixed one myself. WTF would they make it out of weak plastic? What is the cost savings for LG that led to such frustration for customers.

Is the oven working? You can have a loose connection at the junction box. Where the 240 V come into the range/oven.
Can you please provide the link where to purchase?

Does anyone know if this will fix a situation where the front right burner will only turn on if the back right burner is on?
You must have a different range/oven. The one in a video has the knobs to turn the range burners on. Yours must be push button control board.
Did you ever get it fixed? Mine is almost doing same thing except the back right burner when on, turns on the front right burner as well. Two burners come on with one knob

Thanks. mine doesnt have a touchpad just old school knobs on the front. i figured id try a new board 1st@@appliance63
All 4 of my burners are not working. The warming one does. Any ideas on a repair?
I have the same exact problem. My LG LDE4413st is only 18 months old but out of warranty. Any luck finding a solution?
@natehomer nope, ive been told I need a new pc board. It's a couple 100$. I haven't tried it yet. Sorry
How do you change the glass top on this same model? Mine just cracked today.
Google model # lte4518bd Service manual pdf. The detailed instructions are there.
The manual indicated shows the glass top removed but not how to do that.

my front right burner won't always shut off
If you have the same rotary switch. Most likely the right front rotary switch would need to be replaced.

I have similar prob & don't know if the control or the burner is bad. Can you explain how I get to the burners under the glass please?

@@appliance63 thank you for the response.
F3 ERROR on LG
F3 code is a possible shorted button on the display board
@appliance63 Need to change PCB board?
