Unless you're a VR player, then doors are what you'd call 'guidelines' than actual rules. To be fair though getting a ghost room right and the entranc does kinda suck. Even worse when its a demon and it decides to trigger its ability ontop of you right when you unlock the door 20 seconds into a match.

Honestly, I have tried to learn how to play solo and it's rough. I've found the best way is to play with no sound and play on camp woodwind so that it's not claustrophobic, keep doing this until you're comfortable with sound, then comfortable with an indoor map. Sometimes, especially if it's an Oni, you will still just want to dip out and say no but it definitely helps. I went from being unable to even deal with a ghost event before noping out to now playing nightmare mode on the smaller indoor maps
