Congratulations on reaching 600k subscribers. You guys have been through a lot with Clementine and all of her problems, I'm so glad that things are going so far so good for y'all now.
As for the differential oil level , no "dipstick" . Correct oil level is bottom of the fill hole , so just stick the end of your pinky in and you should feel oil . Ignore the commentor who told you an inch and a half below ! I do agree you need to make sure the vent isn't crudded shut . And yes , I was a professional mechanic and that was taught to me by my instructors and every mechanic I ever knew . That plug should have been temporary only and you were at the perfect place to replace the differential cover , the junkyard , plus a $15.00 gasket and fresh 90 weight and you're good to go . The money you payed for the engine , repairs , etc you should not have that plug ! Adding coolant , throwing the A.C. belt and such are huge red flags of poor workmanship . Also , that isn't a modern vehicle , turn AC on when needed , only vent when needed , heater when needed , otherwise you are robbing power and cooling capability from the engine .
Thanks for watching and for the comment! To address the things you mentioned, yes we're aware of filling it until it drains out, but we didn't have extra oil and we're okay chancing it being a little low. I'm no mechanic, so if there's a problem with the vent, they'll have to sort that out. The differential plug hole is NOT threaded. Only a rubber stopper will work. I suspect the mechanic just used a cheap cover, but we fully intend to get a new threaded one. Regarding A/C, we use it when needed like anyone else would use an A/C, and the engine has plenty of power and stays cool regardless. As you saw, that junkyard was very sparse and it was very unlikely we'd find a good replacement cover. Plus, I don't want to do it myself anyways. Like I said, I'm no mechanic and do not want to work on stuff underneath the vehicle unless I absolutely have to. For what it’s worth, the latest LS engine install is actually very clean and well done. Without actually seeing it in person or driving it yourself, I wouldn’t judge things too hard. Sure we’ve had some problems with mechanics since then, but they’ve been very small and manageable. She still gets us where we need to go and we’re very happy about that!
Maybe try wrapping some thread seal tape around the lube caps thread? Plumbers use it to seal connector threads in pipes, etc, and you can buy it in any hardware store for pretty cheap.
Congratulations with the 600k 🎉. fingers crossed for your house Hunting 😜 i really can see you doing something like that , renovating a house 😊 you done an absolute awesome job with Clementine 😍. Have a Good weekend 🥰
Congratulations 🎊 👏 on the 600k! Had to laugh when Eric was talking about the view at 12:40 and was being blinded by the sun because his ballcap is set up high and off to the side where the brim isn't doing it's job! LOL! 😵🤠😎😁
You guys continue to be 2 of my favorite people on You Tube. Always entertaining and funny as heck! Congratulations on reaching 600k subscribers, you guys have earned it! Wishing you both well on finding and getting your house, I know that when you do, it's going to be another level of zaniness and highjinks!
Thank you! It's been a wild ride to 600k and house hunting is proving to be just as wild. It makes us ever-confident that The Endless Adventure is the perfect name for our channel 😅
600K!! Congratulations! So exciting! And we're excited for you guys about the house too. It can be an insane process and we're sending all the real estate fairies your way. But in the meantime I am HERE for junkyard content.
What a unique place to stay! My husband would love it. I'm sure we'd end up with misc parts. LOL! You all did a great job restoring Clemetine and keeping her out of a junk yard. She's a beautiful gal!
Congrats on the 600k mark..Ever marching forward towards that gold play button! Such a tease! It's what truly makes you guys so fun to watch! Stay safe, and continue the adventures! 😜
Ok, husband, trucking company owner, says you fill the tank with oil until it runs out and then you seal it with a screw in cap. The rubber cap pops off when it builds up pressure that may be why it leaks. You need a screw cap.
Buyer beware. The older houses in Texas are ALL due to have their RUSTED THROUGH cast iron pipes replaced. Unless you hire a plumber to inspect the plumbing, don’t sign ANYTHING. You really need a plumber to make sure that your pipes are up-to-date. They need to remove a toilet and drop a camera down to inspect the pipes lol. (Lessons learned!) You also need to hire an independent inspector to inspect the foundation of the house. It’s worth it to know if you should cut your losses right there and walk rather than be in over your heads!! Or haggle them down on the price of it. Love from DFW lol. Good luck!
I used to live in San Antonio Texas. Hard to say if it’s a small big town or a big small town, authentic Mexican food, Tex-Mex, BBQ. Friendly people, great downtown-Riverwalk!!!. Check it out!
Congratulations on 600k! Well deserved! Always look forward to every episode no matter where, how or what you are doing! So fabulous! You’re our favourites big time! From Melbourne downunder!
You really need a belt guard for the bottom pulley to help keep the belt from coming off. When water from the road or anywhere else splashes up the belt may easily come off as the engine is running. Hope this helpful 😅
Hi just a tip on the camper if that diff plug keeps leaking,,,apply some liquid pipe sealant the re install comes in a tube or a bottle with brush in cap usually it's white or grey can get it at Homedepot Lowe's o Reilly auto parts etc. also you can check that oil level with your pinky, if oil does touch your pinky add some till it does it's it's low you won't get enough oil to the wheel bearings. Hope that helps luv the channel !!
hole in the rock is an old house that was built in the 1950s into the rock wall. And then was converted into a convience store/museum/roadside attraction.
The brewery on 66 in Grants NM, I stayed there in December and I ran through a snow squall to get there. Entrance with a 38ft bus was tight and getting locked in at night was comforting. The bbq is prepared in an old ford conversion van 👍🏻. I was the only person staying in the lot when I was there. They told me they are focusing on harvest host for the majority of their business, and making the lot bigger to have more campers.
BBQ sandwich looks yummy!! Looks like a really cool place to park Clementine!! Welcome to Texas and bluebonnets!! BTW, the bluebonnets were beautiful this year!
I thought I'd take a moment to let you all know that you clearly LOVE the desert. Wherever you eventually settle down somewhere, I think you need to live in the desert. As someone who is the opposite, I have noticed how much time you love to spend in the desert. I didn't know if you had noticed, but if not, I thought it could be helpful. 🌵
This place is great to learn about. I love Harvest Host! I have stayed at so many great places. Met so many great people. The junk yard is now on my list! Thank you.
The differential cover should have a NPT threaded plug. The oil level needs to be at the bottom of that plug. Oil should run out when removed. This allows the pinion bearing at the front where the driveshaft connects to run in oil. I would drain that oil into a clean container and use a magnetic to check for metal shavings. If it has metal you should have it looked at. It is important. Love your RV. We have a 1985 Nissan mini motor home named #mysticturtle that we love as much as you love Clementine. Don’t want you having any unwanted issues.
The red cap is for a semi trailer hub. I'm thinking they had to drill the cover open more to fill it easier since it's harder to get to from the back. You might have to replace the whole cover. They don't cost very much though.
Congrats on the 600K guys! We've been watching you guys for like..6/7 years at this point, so it's been amazing seeing you reach all these incredible milestones. So good. 🍻 Also, that sandwich looked freakin' delicious.
Next oil check, Allison’s turn to do it?🤔 How about getting a small piece of land and get one of those small houses like HD or Lowe’s sells? That junkyard is a place to check out. Makes a good scary movie setting. There is a scary movie called “Junkyard”.
That was a fascinating place!! The barbecue looked YUM. We will be adding this Harvest Host to our list of places to go! Will be interested to hear about the house. - Michelle
If your straw is lower than the fill plug when checking the rear differential fluid, it’s too low. When filling, the service manual instructs technicians to fill it up until it starts to overflow the plug. The manual states, “If the level is sufficient, fluid will seep out of the opening. If it doesn’t, add the necessary amount.” Check your manual to be sure, but the Chevy motorhome chassis typically needs SAE-80W-90 GL-5 gear oil for that.
We are watch your videos right now and I was wondering how is your mom doing Eric ? My prayers go out to her. Keep making those videos you both make us laugh. Safe travels. We love you 🥰 🙏🏼
When we had our travel trailer many years ago, we spent the night in our camper atop a flat bed trailer in a junkyard/towing place because we nearly lost a wheel to the camper. We were in an area near some friends of ours so they came over to visit us that night and we sat outside (in the junkyard) in lawn chairs. It was so funny to watch drivers in passing cars do a double take at us all sitting there.
Sometimes you don't have a choice if your vehicle ends up in a junkyard. I had a 2006 Subaru that was involved in a head-on collision. It gave its life nobly, but it's now in a junkyard somewhere in Reno(I think).
You guys should try and use local state DOT cameras when you are stopped in traffic jams on major interstate highways. Im not sure if all states have them but they do come in handy sometimes and most are free to view live.
Maybe check out houses in the Texas Panhandle area. It is flat but it is so close to everything (like a day trip to Moab and super close to Colorado). Also, Palo Duro Canyon is there and can be so fun to camp and hike. Plus it isn't as hot as the Austin area.
Well I found another reason to love you guys. “Moab”. That’s my favorite place on the planet. (As of now.) Leaving CA for Moab Monday. Peace and safe travels to you guys. ✌️❤️
Good luck with the house! If it's going to require lots of renovation, you'll be able to park Clementine on a concrete slab and live in her while you do the work. It's a different kind of adventure.
I guess I am to paranoid to park in a salvage yard over night. I would be afraid some one would take a part off my rig thinking that is what it was there for. LOL
I have lived in Texas all my life and the Austin area economy can be very volatile a whole lot of homeless allowed by city officials which play havoc with home values ps. If a/c belt has tensioner it may be going bad
How cool was that! I so enjoy your content. Found you a year ago and watch a few episodes a day. You guys are great, such a power couple. So much love. ❤ Love love your travel good luck bear 🐻
It appears that your belt tensioner spring is bad. It's not supposed to vibrate enough to have the belt pop off. The spring is weak because you're able to put the belt on with bare hands and no tools.

Yes this is true advice! Just barely coming out of fill hole / plug .
Harder and harder to find good work. Only reason why I started working on my own stuff lol!
Nudging for the algorithm 😊
100% this.
It’s SAE 80W-90 GL-5 for their motorhome IIRC though.

That type of cover doesn't have a threaded plug hole. It's just a hole with that red plastic plug and a rubber washer that gets pressed into it.
Congratulations with the 600k 🎉. fingers crossed for your house Hunting 😜 i really can see you doing something like that , renovating a house 😊 you done an absolute awesome job with Clementine 😍.
Have a Good weekend 🥰

Clementine visited some old friends said hello and told all kinds of neat stories about her life on the road!
Allison!!! I love your style- you always look so hip, yet practical 👌🏼
I need to know:
Where do you keep all of your clothes in Clementine??!
What a unique place to stay! My husband would love it. I'm sure we'd end up with misc parts. LOL! You all did a great job restoring Clemetine and keeping her out of a junk yard. She's a beautiful gal!

Congratssssssss on the 600k! Still not enough to get Eric to straighten that freaking hat and fix his hair!!!!
Love your videos, but seriously aren’t there any gents’ barbers in any of the towns you’ve visited?
You two are always doing something & then having to going on long drives. 😆😍🥰🍻🍺
The Junkyard BBQ looked so delicious 😋 😍. Congratulations on 600k subscribers 😊. See you on the next one adventurers 😊.
Thanks for sharing this amazing journey n adventure with me. God Bless Ya'll. Mucho Love Always ❤️ 😍 💖
That is the finest junkyard I've ever seen🤩
This video has inspired me to rewatch all the old videos of clementine in the making ❤
BBQ sandwich looks yummy!! Looks like a really cool place to park Clementine!! Welcome to Texas and bluebonnets!! BTW, the bluebonnets were beautiful this year!
Congrats on your milestone what channel is the OG you you have faced adversity in the channel and Clementine and always came out on top
Clementine is looking is looking fabulous inside
Hi you two,,just wondering what Eric is doing with his hair,,,it would look better without the bangs,,,

Liked the motorcycles at the junk yard. I usually follow biker videos but for some reason you guys are a relief from them. Thanks!

Another Awesome Adventure Thank You Allison & Eric 🙂❤👍Watching from NB Canada🙂
That was a fascinating place!! The barbecue looked YUM. We will be adding this Harvest Host to our list of places to go! Will be interested to hear about the house. - Michelle
Thanks, Michelle! Hopefully we'll have some good house news soon enough. And if you stay at that harvest host, eat some BBQ for us 😁

Well done on 600 thousand , very deserved should be a million ❤❤
Re AC, if the belt has an auto tensioner, would suggest u check its alignment. Along with tension and bearing wear..
Keep traveling
Hole in the rock is a great stop….a home carved into the mountain! 💕
Congratulations on 600k soon it will be 1Mil
You guys are great vibes 🤗 congrats on reaching 600 k🎉🎊👏👏👏

Ooo, we’d love to see y’all reno a house if you buy one. We loved watching you reno Clementine🤗
If you get a slightly shorter belt or maybe just a new one they can stretch
Congratulations on 600K subscribers 🎉... i remember when you celebrated 100k.. so deserved!... and fun vlog as always.
Put some blue RTV gasket maker on the threads of your rear dif plug, should stop your leak.
You guys are such nice people, keep up the great work with the fun videos!
Sometimes you don't have a choice if your vehicle ends up in a junkyard. I had a 2006 Subaru that was involved in a head-on collision. It gave its life nobly, but it's now in a junkyard somewhere in Reno(I think).
Dang you guys are a little harsh on Clementine. She is so beautiful❤❤❤ But as always great video! Moab is such a great place to visit so much fun!
You guys should try and use local state DOT cameras when you are stopped in traffic jams on major interstate highways. Im not sure if all states have them but they do come in handy sometimes and most are free to view live.
I love Moab and all the various attractions, to include Hole In The Rock. It was at one time a house. It's pretty cool.
We just moved to Texas and we love it here! Hope you find what you're looking for in a home here!
Welcome back to Austin. Hope to run into y’all on one of these trips you’re here.
Excellent as always thank you guys 👍❤️🇺🇸🇬🇧
Maybe check out houses in the Texas Panhandle area. It is flat but it is so close to everything (like a day trip to Moab and super close to Colorado). Also, Palo Duro Canyon is there and can be so fun to camp and hike. Plus it isn't as hot as the Austin area.

Leaving CA for Moab Monday. Peace and safe travels to you guys. ✌️❤️
i LOVED my bTracker. I had an ironic No Fear sticker on it.
For the most part the scenery is beautiful and you are both very funny❤😂
Good luck with the house! If it's going to require lots of renovation, you'll be able to park Clementine on a concrete slab and live in her while you do the work. It's a different kind of adventure.
I watch on the TV, here to leave a like and a comment ❤ you guys are the best!
Thank you! 🥰😭
Wow. Only 2 freakings in this video 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁.
Great video
How ?
Congratulations 🎉🥳🎉🥳
You should buy a skateboard for those things under the RV 😂
Is it posable the tensioner pully is the wrong one? It looks like it should have a lip on both sides of the belt to keep it from walking off.
17:07 current mood 😂❤
I guess I am to paranoid to park in a salvage yard over night. I would be afraid some one would take a part off my rig thinking that is what it was there for. LOL
The motor mount story is my favorite 😊
I will always watch it will go from Endless Adventure to Endless home repair but I will still be with you all Love you guys!
As far as the snow storm, you were probably at 5,000 feet in elevation. It’s quite common for mixed precipitation during the spring there.
Thank you
YAY!!!!!!!!!!
I have lived in Texas all my life and the Austin area economy can be very volatile a whole lot of homeless allowed by city officials which play havoc with home values ps. If a/c belt has tensioner it may be going bad
Congrats on 600k guys! 🏆🎉
The continental divide always has crazy weather, just in that one spot ha.
We were on those same roads a little over a week ago. They are horrible!
I enjoyed Utah desert so beautiful
How cool was that! I so enjoy your content. Found you a year ago and watch a few episodes a day.
You guys are great, such a power couple. So much love. ❤
Love love your travel good luck bear 🐻
It appears that your belt tensioner spring is bad. It's not supposed to vibrate enough to have the belt pop off. The spring is weak because you're able to put the belt on with bare hands and no tools.
When you’re in Austin, you should totally check out the park that has the peacocks!!!! You can get up close and personal with them.
You can get houses and land really cheap in parts of the Appalachians and especially West virginia. I know somebody that just bought 25 acres for only $25,000
I have a rv like yours I had to change the tension pulley.the bearings was going bad.kept kicking my belt off to my ac.
Tensioner still looked out of line and at a bit of an angle so not surprising the belt slips off. Needs fixin'
OMG, next time you are in New Mexico please consider letting me know. I would love to meet you.
I knew ya'll were in NM and when I drove up to the local Home Depot there was an RV that looked just like Clementine in the parking lot. The engine hood was propped up and since I follow the show and know ya'll have had engine trouble, I thought, "No way that's Alison and Eric!" I didn't see Ruby but soon the owner pulled up. Just my luck, it wasn't you guys.
New Mexico has monsoon rain storms that are no joke.
The Junk Yard was one of the most interesting places that you have stayed. Congratulations on 600K and good luck on the house search
That tenacious D reference made me spit my beer out in laughter 😂
I didn't realize you're sporting an LS swap in your vintage rig 🙂
Just chiming in on the others, if that plug is actually leaking, that means there's pressure in the housing, which means the vent is plugged
✌🏽
