Animism is common to many indigenous cultures. The belief that everything has a life force or spirit. Some have an ego or personality but all things in the universe are a form of consciousness because the universe is consciousness. Forms are merely like waves rising I the ocean, phenomena composed of the essence yet appearing unique and different and having different effects, yet all sharing a common source.
