I actually like the softer vibes they are giving off this album aside from KTL obviously. Many people are saying they don't like this album but I think this album really adds more depth to the girls. I think people want them to keep pushing out the same type of songs and concepts over and over and that's cool and all, but it really limits the girls, like when Jennie came out with Solo she literally said she wanted to show people there is more to her than just Girl Crush because that's all people saw her as (because a lot of their songs were girl crush concepts) I am really happy for the girls this comeback and I am excited to see where this year takes them.
Yeah I agree! Like I expected some harder bass drops (and there could’ve been) but I think it’s so different and it is really softer which makes me think of them differently but in such a positive light. It’s a pretty great album tbh

Unpopular opinion: I like this mini album more than Square Up b/c it has more equal distribution and each song is super unique, and all of the songs I can hear forever and ever (like it doesn't get annoying or repetitive).
Other opinions:
- the metallic beat drop for the remix is actually pretty good (considering I really don't like those types of drops)
- Rose and Jisoo are finally getting more lines!!
- Lisa is FINALLY singing more

I think Kick It would have been the perfect Title Track for this comeback.
To me at least it is kinda refreshing and it feels like a mixture between a strong and badass concept with a more calm concept, i honestly really love how the vocals stand out.
Ddu-du ddu-du had a chorus mostly instrumental driven and i really wanted a sang chorus this time around.
I still like Kill This Love and support and love BlackPink of course but i really think Kick It was the best choice.
It seems like I will never get into Blackpink. All the songs are nothing special for me, but I am glad that people found a new Album they like.😃

Kpop has many different styles and depths, one song can be fast and loud and chaotic, and another can be soft slow and quite. It all depends on what the style of the album is and the group.

Kick it's part of the "pink" concept because it makes me think of Really in square up, a bit nostalgic with a rather catchy but gentle refrain thereafter. Even if there is rap in this song, it is not dark enough and badass (like KTL) to be a "black" concept.
Earlier I said that Square Up Album was better, but right now, these songs stucks on my head
