    Love that Gamecock hat. We booked Dreher Island for Memorial Day weekend 2022. I use to tent camp there with the church back in my younger years but haven't been back since then. We live in Lexington so not too far away. Can't wait.

    Glad to see the new video on state park campground. Loved Jessie's tree napping hammock. A lot of the state parks in PA can't handle rigs larger than 30' with many at 25'. I guess when the older campgrounds were built back in the day, large rigs weren't plentiful. Looked like a nice get away. Ah...the time struggles of the weekend warriors!

    • @LiveNLearnRV
      @LiveNLearnRV  4 роки тому +1

      You can sympathize about the weekends-thing!! While we were on that walk-around-the-loop, we saw a dude whip a 38-foot 5th-wheel into a spot, and we about had a heart attack! The term "threading the needle" came to mind... 😳

    As always, thanks for the video! We've gone to many SC State Parks, but have yet to be able to get a spot at Dreher Island, and it's only 45 minutes from us. Looks like a great place. Love the new intro....loved the speedy drive to the park scenes....not digging Jessie's hat at the end, though haha. Praying for a permanent job solution for you soon. Take care!

      Thanks a bunch, Lee! We're hearing a lot about how hard it is to get into Dreher Island, but we must've just lucked out. We did book about nine months in advance, so that might've been the trick.

    Independence Day is prime time for camping at Dreher Island because of the firework show (they still had it last summer during the pandemic). It sells out a year in advance.

    We are considering selling the mini Winnie and getting a 2507s soon. It's on our very short list anyway. I currently have an older ram 3500 srw diesel but that will also be upgraded soon. Couple questions. Do you worry about over loading the trailer? It's only rated about 1300lbs of cargo, water etc. Does your 1/2 ton feel safe and pull it in hills ok? Is the quality holding up? Most importantly are you still happy with your decision? Thanks for the videos.

    • @LiveNLearnRV
      @LiveNLearnRV  3 роки тому

      We've never boon-docked, so we've never carried fresh water, and as such, we haven't worried about going over the trailer's payload. With this year being such a financial disaster for us, we haven't traveled far enough to test our half-ton Tundra on mountains, so we can't speak on that issue. Those two points aside, we're still thrilled with ours. It's the perfect size for us, and our Tundra does the job we've asked of it just fine so far.

      @@LiveNLearnRV - thanks for the reply. This has been a rough year for a lot of people and it might make our retirement plans have some changes we didn't want even with such careful planning. Added to that we are also concerned about the turmoil with politics possibly causing us added expenses. But we're still hoping and dreaming because after 45 years of busting my behind I'm ready. Keep the faith!!
