Thanks! I think I matched it pretty closely! Great thing is, I get my ‘studio’ sound in my ears, on stage and on tape! Makes me happy. No more fussing about with mics and phase issues. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching! The Line6 Pod Go has been a game changer for me, both live and especially for recording. For me and the sounds I'm after, there is no need to go up the Helix Stomp. They sound the same for what I'm after and I like the form factor of the Go - looks and switches more like a pedalboard. The QSC CP12 is also a pretty good monitor/FRFR speaker for this purpose.
The 800RB is great! I’d like to A-B it with GK’s legacy line. Though not super heavy, the 800RB is still harder to lug around. But it cuts! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I can just give it to you! I modelled it after my 'vintage' real GK800RB, but it's not your typical GK sound. I have it set more for a natural/neutral/Direct type sound with a slightly rounder bottom and top. No cab emulation or IRs. None of them sound particularly natural for what I do. Instead, I use an EQ block at the end to take out unneeded sub lows and roll off the harsh highs. Amp: G Cougar 800 Drive: 5.5 Bass 6.8 Low mid 3.7 High mid 3.1 Treble 4.0 Ch Vol 9.0 Master 8.7 Boost 3.0 Contour Off EQ 'low and high cut' Low cut 38Hz High cut 4.0kHz Level 0.0 Overall levels are set so I have my master volume knob around halfway, which gives me leeway in both directions on stage and depending on a particular bass's output. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
Not on my main sound. I have another preset I use with my Hofner. It’s a B15 type sound and with that, I use a bit of spring reverb for a little more depth.
I couldn't hear a difference, so close! And I love GK amps. And Ampeg, so the SVT, the B-15 and the 800RB are my all-time favorites!

Might just be me, but I think the pod go sound is punchier. I really like it better. Thanks for the video.

Very close! IMO the GK 800RB is the best bass amp ever built. They should reissue it. SS vs Class D is no contest, SS hands down.

@@jonathanwong458music Thanks. Do you use any reverb?
