I know someone who did a mono-rock NUZLOCKE of pokemon reborn (another notoriously hard game) with a mod that prevents item use in battles, and he chose Archen as his starter. The first gym is electric and you can't even catch a second pokemon in mono-rock until you beat the first gym... The madlad made it all the way to Hardy, the 17th gym leader, no idea how, but after that story i decided rock is a secretly scary type not to be underestimated.

I'm so early! Edit: Can we change the title to "How good is Aerodactyl ACTUALLY?" Also, did you know that moves like Splash, Outrage, Triple Kick and Trick are replace with Hidden Powers of most types that only the _opponent_ can use? They're all base 70, and their effect is set to "no additional effect". Isn't that just fair?!
@@junichiroyamashita In the data slots for the aforementioned moves, they renamed those moves all to "Hidden Power", set their base powers to 70, updated their types, set their effect to "no additional effect" so that the base power does not vary, and only the CPU and rental Pokemon are given those "special" hidden power moves.
Great video but I want to say about relicanth here, it's kinda okay with swift swim or rock head and with good enough speed and attack IV can kill crobat, lapras, regice, glalie(use white herb) with head smash so clear it out is not an bad option but not a good option either.
