Astonished at the uncalled for Benarasi comment of the announcer. How the nobody dares ? Sixties was the era of the triumvirate of the sitar. It overwhelms in 2024 also.
Thanks RA. A gem, masterpiece. Must be pre Harrison uncontaminated RS. Astonishing pattern weaving in jod jhala like a jamavar. Should be digitally remastered with proper equalisation to obtain tonal balance. And preserved by SNA or similar institution for posterity to know true RS. I reduced 250 500 hz by 2.5 and 1000 by 1.5 dB and got better balanced sound from my Oberon 7. But that’s elementary. Someone with better resources and not a near nonagenarian like me may undertake this task. RS has taken K Kanada at a different level. Thanks RA once again.
The host makes a comment "Taal ke Pandit..Ustad....??". The way the recording abruptly skipped that part felt like a tease! Any clues who's on the tabla? Ustad Allarakha?

RS at his very best. Surreal uncontaminated music flowing like a river.
