This is such a joy to watch. Even having used AE for more than 2 decades there's gems to pick up. Thanks so much for making this and it's a superbly elegant solution to something I've not even thought I needed in my life. I do now.
Thanks so much for the tut, your teaching style is fantastic! I love the way you explain the function and logic behind each bit of code, but still keep things moving along. Learned a ton, can't wait to check out more videos!
Thank you a lot, your tutorials are really interesting and clever ! I had no idea that we can automate so many things in after effect with scripting. You made me want to dive into coding, can't wait to see others tutorials ! Your video with NT productions was really cool too ! cheers !
Try getting the position Coordinate of the Head of the snake and use the toComp or fromComp expression to convert it to whatever space you need to convert it to
Thank you for posting this tutorial. Andrew, How did you add slider control so quickly? It seems like you opened another search box and typed slider control and just pops in on top left.
hi Andrew, not sure if you're still checking or responding to comments - i hope you are, obviously :) - but i'm curious to know if it's possible to target individual points on the path. say, for instance, i wanted to animate the 8th - or 20th point - is there a way to do that? thanks for this tutorial, regardless. utter excellence
I've been searching the internet for help with the tangents. Can anyone help? any value input just seems to cause error. not sure what format they want
Hi! Great tutorial, but I did it and while it generated a line, the whole line stays a straight line and just moves up and down my y-axis! I can dm you the code I used from your video.

OMFG.. . . . . .This is pure magic. Thank you for sharing it! I would have never been able to come up with such a sorcery by myself!
This 100% got me unstuck from my final assignment for Expression Session at School of Motion. Thanks Andrew!
Same!😄
thank you very much for this step-by-step expression tutorial.
Good to see Ukramedia has its best men on the case of the missing Workbench
Workbench is one of my favorite channels. I'm starting wonder if Joe and Sev got abducted or something. 🧐🧐🧐
This is going to save so much time! Absolutely fantastic
Bossman Andrew !!!

Thank you So much, that is useful

This is brilliant thank you! Can someone please show me how to parent a shape to the 'head' of the snake?

I can neither confirm nor deny my involvement in the capture of any tutorial-related persons 👀
Very suspicious if you ask me. 🤔
Can we use this method to make curved lines?

Great video. Next do a tutorial on using a typewriter for a keyboard. ;)
If you listen while I type, I'm actually already using one, I just put the keyboard in the background when I'm recording the intro. ;)
nice work!! just i need this
Thank youa lot, and u´ve my like and subscription.
How do you get the coding colors in the expressions, I just have everything in black?

Nope :-) You can just follow the video step by step.
