But Dave Meltzer was blasted over a report that TKO Management wanted the Rock to adhere to TV-PG guidelines. The Final Boss says otherwise. Also, reportedly Tony Khan is angry at Jack Perry for losing CM Punk to WWE, and Jack Perry asked for his AEW release which was denied by Tony Khan but Jack Perry was allowed to go to NJOW and rip up his AEW contract? I'll go further. WWE shouldn't try getting Jack Perry, they should get Marko Stunt.

Real talk but if I had been Tony Khan I would have fired Jack Perry on the spot. The incident with Punk would have never happened because I would have told him to get the fuck out of my arena and never come back.
To be honest, if Jack Perry wasn't at Wembley, CM Punk would've pick a fight with anybody. He's a desperate man trying to get out of his AEW contract. Punk was hoping for someone to provoke him, so he can have an excuse to start trouble. Look at Punk's backstage drama on Collision where he confronted Nic Nemeth about the Twitter tweet, kicking out Matt Hardy, Hangman Page, Nick Nemeth out of the building. Punk even argued with Perry about not to use real glass. It was thought to be settled, but Perry was so pissed off that the stories got leaked, which made him look bad, so, not only Perry took a shot at Punk at All In, it's also towards the people who leaked the reports. When Punk saw that, he probably was like, "Yes, here's my chance. If I pick a fight with Perry, TK will sure have to fire me for good."

The problem is that the wrestlers from the Attitude Era are still over with the public all these years later, so corporate as well as the viewing public are willing to give them a pass for acting just like how they remember these guys acted on tv all these years ago. If WWE was not trying to relive past glories and actually focused on the present they would put over the present talent not sacrifice them to legends talent and they would make legends talent, like The Rock, adhere to the same policies that current day wrestlers have to adhere to. Through their own actions WWE lets everybody know that they are aware their current product is not good and they are forced to milk the past in order to get any attention at all to their currrent product.

Work or not I'm pretty sure nobody will care about the Return of Jack Perry. He may as well stay overseas as it is obvious no one will even notice Jack Perry on AEW television. Putting him in the Young Bucks stable might make some sense but it is doubtful if it generates interest 🤷
Cody is just being forced as a main eventer but he doesn't have the it factor of a main eventer. Even AEW marks turned on him because he was too much of a try hard phony Babyface and he lost the crowd when he came across as unauthentic. I think he is gonna be exposed very soon in the same way the longer Rock sticks around and remind us how much better real main eventers sound and look compared to Stardust

I agree with you, If Tony didn't want to use him eventually, he would have just released him. These guys, (at least most of them) are on guaranteed contracts. This is why it was so dumb of them to change course and not just go w Rock/Roman. They CORRECTLY understood that Rock/Roman was the biggest possible match they could have, that bringing Rock back would overshadow anyone he worked opposite of (which would be fine if it's face Rock doing it to HEEL Roman he'd ultimately lose to and have to acknowledge). So to avoid the very issue JD is bitching about where every one involved in this angle feels smaller in his shadow they were let Seth/Cody(and maybe Drew) do their thing together to make the best out of a bad situation (Punk) before giving Cody the chance to dethrone an elevated Roman after the biggest possible match @ Mania. But instead you bitched about Cody HAVING to finish the story @ Mania (he didn't) and look where we're at. Seth & Cody don't look like bitches bc they aren't allowed to verbally spar w The Rock. I hear you where it concerns Cody crying and looking soft with it. It could be solved by presenting him with a bit more edge. It's mainly because he's positioning himself to be a total "White Meat Babyface" as a Champion. His vocabulary, pronunciation and delivery during promos is proof of that. I didn't have an issue with him crying during his promo either. Dusty would do the same sometimes when he gave impassioned promos to the fans also. My belief is Cody will be fine at WrestleMania. What happens after is the real issue.
