Breaking was added to 2024 as France's optional sport. You are allowed to add optional sports when you host, so Los Angeles 2028 will add Baseball, Softball, Cricket, Lacrosse, and Flag Football. Optional sports do not carry over, so there will be no Breaking.
Them commenting on breakdancing in the Olympics was unexpected. Sad thing is the Olympic committe has said that Breakdancing won't be done in future olympics. To me it makes no sense because unlike other sports its such a inexpensive event to host since all you need is a small stage DJs, judges, and the contestants. Its not like other sports which require massive facilities to host them in.
From my understanding, iy's jot returning because it's one of the sports that comes sololy from it's host country. When it's 2028, the host specific Olympics will be baseball, iirc.
They ask "who break dances anymore?" For Their information Breaking dance is popular enough to have plenty of competitions worldwide just like most other forms of dance
I mean you debut alongside the Controversial Last Supper Fiasco performance anything being tried as new would be damaged goods next to that no matter how good an idea.
