@@gian3248 Some are really close to sirens because some of them are loud. I agree that they are the worst but some of them aren't actually that bad. It could be quiet because the city either set it to low volume on tests or left it on low volume.
They've actually put a Nuclear Siren stock sound effect on the LRAD DS-60XL ! Nice to see a Siren using same siren sound effect. The Sky in the background gives a better atmosphere to the video too!
From Newport Beaches new I think T-128 audio on theirs, to Mill Valley with Carter audio?!?! Lol, atleast they would work a little better, but that reverb in the audio will kill those drivers over time. Nonetheless great video Oliver!
More like a Gent sound, GP ones usually have a faster and sharper wind up. Plus LRADs are terrible they may aswell have gotten a 2/3T22 and made it run on 50hz
I can imagine that if my county (Palm Beach) or even Orange County (where my dad lives) got sirens, they might probably go for either these or ATI's. Personally, I have yet to hear either in person, but I do think these might be okay in a smaller area like just along beaches. Now, to alert a whole town at once, that's a different story. I barely had to turn my volume down for these, and I'd go with ATI if I had to choose between them and LRAD. There may be a small scene in a future project featuring an LRAD siren system, but not in a huge area. I chose a water park for that scene, and the sirens go off for a thunder alert. It's a small area but still big enough to where the park needs two sirens, plus a third for an isolated parking garage.
You can still get them with a little bit of effort involved, they aren't rare and there are tons of inactives all over the place. I think Jeb has some in his yard as well.
The LRAD sirens sound clear and better than the majority of electronic sirens, but Genasys decided to put the stock siren sound effects into their LRAD siren’s flash memory or hard drive, which is very lazy. You know why LRADs are worse than ATIs? Because they’re buggy and unreliable.
Honestly I think LRAD voice clarity is AMAZING
it's amazing bc they're rlly not supposed to be sirens

LRAD and Hyperspike both make amazing loudspeakers which are both deafening loud and crystal clear
1:23 This is a monthly test of the Carstairs emergency siren warning system.
OH look... a giant MP3 player!
XD
LoL
I gotta say, the quality of the voice announcement is incredible
I agree.

If CA was closer to me I would definitely go there.
That's amazing 👏 good job man
Nice one Oliver!
0:25 Siren Test Carter air raid siren
perfect!

Mill Valley should really be using a 2001 audio 🤣
@@gianhubOMG THAT WOULD BE SOOOO FUNNY!😂😂😂😂
Sounds like the WW2 sirens in Britain
Because they were of the same type bud.
@@MasenMonster Not exactly. They just had the same port combo, 10/12
Wow it plays a klaxon gp siren sound sooo cooool!
Not really a GP model. Its just any 10/12 port siren

LRAD is just..LBAD

Thank you LRAD very fucking cool
It's literally a bunch of PA speakers 😂
Even PA speakers do a better job than these pieces of garbage 😂
@@thewashateriawandererzayne4376 Yep
Does the LRAD have a hard drive?
sdcard or flash chip probably
well... thats strange.. but interesting lol
LRAD Is Voice Is loud and clear.
It is clear but it isn't very loud tho...
Extremely rare siren few of them are left
@PineTree Sirens I meant everywhere else
At this point you should just buy a 2T22
They can’t really do that.
2T22s and 3T22s are no longer in production
You can still get them with a little bit of effort involved, they aren't rare and there are tons of inactives all over the place. I think Jeb has some in his yard as well.
A siren emulator.
In a building
LRAD voice clarity is amazing but they shouldn't be used as sirens
I agree, p.a speakers are where it should be at for ds60s
Just got those siren sound from youtube. These sirens don't even generate sound but play them, so the sound looks loud but isn't. Cheap crap.
Use some square wave pulses and push the amplifiers to hard clip.
@@FOHGeek yes
these “sirens” are so poor the tone sounds as if it’s dubbed over

What.... LOL
This is the worst siren I have ever seen.
You're right on that one it's just speakers
Those are just as bad, if not worse then ATI
ATI's are way better than these LRAD "sirens"
